I noticed that too. He originally starting doing that shyt when he was about to get cancelled for his homophobic lyrics in the early 2010s. He was close to being out of here. Was getting all types of backlash.

People forget that Tyler was up before Kendrick or Drake. Solo album dropped 2009. Huge following from the jump and multiple business ventures early on in his career. Nicca is very wealthy. 2 Best Rap album Grammy Awards and just dropped another contender. Crazy his music career is peaking higher than ever at this point.

He was not up before Drake.

His first album b*stard was out, but he didn't get a real buzz until Yonkers and that was on Goblin, his second album.

Drake was poppin by then.

So Far Gone dropped in 2009. Odd Future dropped 2008. You’re right about Tyler’s solo buzz with Yonkers, but he already had impact with Odd Future. I meant to say that he hit the scene before Drake.

Gained a huge following quickly. Loiter Squad in 2011 and Golf Wang clothing in 2011. He was right there. Drake obviously eclipsed him commercial success-wise from there, but this shyt has come full circle now, especially from an artistry standpoint. Also, he’s only 33, so he’s in his prime now.

Drake had buzz with SFG, and was already working with the industry before that.

Room for Improvement came out in 06 and he was working with Trey Songz by then.

The Odd Future tape didn't generate buzz like that.

I'm familiar with that timeline because Tyler was still on the HB forums pushing that OF tape and his music when Drake was already a thing.

Drake definitely hit the scene and was in the mix first.
