said it after igor. said it after cmiygl. saying it again after a few full spins of chromakopia: we're really gonna have to make room for tyler at the top of some of these "who's the best" lists we all love arguing over. not saying he's in the GOAT discussion. he's not (yet) imo. but this four album run puts him in some pretty elite company when it comes to quality/consistency.

for example: cole is still a much better rapper imo. but as a rapper/producer/all-around MC/album-maker, i think tyler has him beat (said this after cmiygl too). and if cole dont drop some fukking heat next time out it may not end up being much of a debate. :manny:

one other thing i will say... i dont know why, but this album really made me go back and listen to blue lips. been bumping that shyt since 6am lol. that album is fukking insane, it doesn't sound like anything else that dropped this year (whereas i definitely hear pharrell + kendrick's influence on chromakopia) and Q was fukking RAPPING. dont think he gets nearly enough credit for how good blue lips is; it's top 3 of 2024 imo.

thank god 4 me... :damn:

Listened. So he's straight again on this album? Talking about impregnating bytches. :mjlol:

His rapping really hasn't evolved flow wise for years.

Solid music.. nothing mind blowing but I listen to world music, and avant jazz composers so forgive me if I'm not floored by these arrangements. If you don't hear the Neptunes suckjob on this you're lying to your goddamn selves.

I feel ya.

I was raised in the racist south, the religion THEY tried to force upon me was a made of fairy tales by some crackaz.
Nah I completely agree with you and don’t blame you. A trojan horse to protect themselves from their demonic ways as well as make others turn a blind eye.

I feel ya breh
Agreed. Christianity was enforced to keep enslaved Africans submissive and accepting of enslavement.

And to cut enslaved Africans in the Americas from their Ancestral cultures and traditions rooted in Central and West Africa, as the overwhelming majority practiced ATRs that kept them rebellious.

The African traditions and lexical items in ATRs of the Black Diaspora can be traced back directly to specific ethnic groups and regions in Central and West Africa they originate from TIL THIS DAY.

Academic studies of history, anthrology and linguistics of the Black Diaspora all confirm this.

BaKongo people, Kingdom of Kongo

Fon people, Kingdom of Dahomey

Aja people, Kingdom of Allada

Yoruba people, Oyo Empire

Anyone that justifies Christianity outside of anything other than
“I just like the theology”
simply hasn’t read enough academic work about Slavery and Christianity’s intricate oppressive role in it.

Opposed to ATRs rebellious, liberating and African cultural preserving function in it.

The Haitian Revolution being the nucleus of these historical facts.

He cosplayed a gay alter ego so he wouldn’t get canceled for his homophobic lyrics from his Odd future days

Now he’s BACK! :banderas:

The streets say he was never gay :yeshrug:

Tyler at one time was original but all his projects now sound like tributes to other artists
This, and he's partially become the type of rapper he used to dis.

Scanned through it driving, can't do it. I Killed You was cool, Take Off Your Mask would have been crazy if the beats and hook were good, he was shytting on somebody. I don't listen to the nikkas he is inspired by, so I have zero desire to hear this again. It's not even the content, I don't want rape lyrics and such, it's the musical style.
