I’ve been around Tyler..

I’ll just say this…

Most of us who know him believe he flirted with the homosexual shyt to jump ahead of cancel culture. His music was super offensive and could have been detrimental if the mob deemed him problematic, but he strategically deaded that before it could even happen.. look at the timing of cancel culture and his sudden switch from cherry bomb to flower boy. It’s literally simultaneous

Dude is def not trolling....he is prob bi. I saw him hanging around my neighborhood a few months and his crew def had a few :wrist: and Tyler was wearing something that looked pretty gay.

Its 2021, I could give a fukk what he does in his personal life, his music is good. Plenty of artists or comedians we love have been not totally straight(Pryor, Luther, Marvin etc)

As long as you not being too graphic about it or go into detail....:yeshrug:

And Tyler to me hasnt gone overboard wit it....theres maybe a 3 second bar every few songs that makes me go :stopitslime: but it ain't like he got full songs or even verses saying super sus ass shyt

And some of it do be for shock value like that Beiber line

At times dude can be the best rapper on the planet but he stay on that weird shyt
It's funny, because I feel like I prefer Earl persona, but I can't get into his music at all, whereas it's the opposite with Tyler. Both dudes can spit, but Earl usually unlistenable for me. He was dope on the Alchemist project.

Tyler is NOT the new Kanye :mjlol:

Tyler is a great producer has a nice ear, taste and feel for music. He does his homework but he’ll always be known for copying Neptune’s sound and referencing other older genres as themes/inspiration for his albums/songs

now lately he’s been copying 90s soul/R&B slow jams and putting some nice singers/rappers on it to help create what his fans consider “his sound”

he’s great at bringing a lot different sounds talents together and making them work on his album under his vision with his direction

Kanye does all this too but Kanye is more of an original/innovative artist.

Tyler definitely tries to be like Kanye but

Kanye doesn’t care what his critics think

Kanye isn’t trying to please his fans or peers he’s more of an outlier

No Kanye album sounds like the next and he pushes the envelope so yea he’ll miss occasionally and you think he’s crazy.... he’s just unpolished and not a perfectionist like Tyler

That said Tyler put together a solid album with arguably no bad songs. Salute to him

but there’s no song on this Album that I haven’t heard something like it before in music or on other Tyler albums previously

No song on this album is better than the best song on IGOR or Flowerboy, etc....

Yea that's hyperbole to say he the new Ye. Their styles are different. Kanye is a master delegator/collaborator ....he brings in a lot of ppl to make the albums. He more like a Dre in that way. Tyler does most of his albums by himself for the most part

Ye is def more innovative or at least he was at one point
Tyler is great at using his influences and updating them with lusher sounds. But I cant say he's creating new sounds

I more meant Tyler's recent work gives me similar vibes/feels like Ye's used to

yea I agree 100%

Tyler is such a music fan I think he just takes influence from all the music he likes, samples it, recreates it and remixes it and repackages it for his fans in a modern “Tyler way” which makes the music more fun or fresh in a way that relates to what’s trending or relevant in today’s youth culture

he even reaches out to and works with some
of the artists he idolizes as tribute kinda like how he did with boys 2 men on cherry bomb but you don’t realize this unless you’re old enough to know 90s r&b

There’s layers to his music. anyone with similar music taste/background will love it. And a Tyler fan will also gravitate to it cause it’s good music they haven’t been exposed to. But they might not know he isn’t being that original.

Kanye is just a innovator who takes risks. I don’t think his influences dictate the type of music he makes anymore

he’s trying to influence others and other people wanna hop on whatever he’s doing.....or at least they used to:hubie:

I’ve been saying this. Had a few similar conversations years ago with some fans who thought the same.

We all know 2010/early Tyler wasn’t gay just look at his old videos/interviews

About a few years back, all the alphabet gang had to do is pull up any old tweets/lyrics, old video or interview from this time in his career when he was young and literally wildin out on the internet

saying all types of homophobic things. Not caring

Most the media didn’t care about Tyler either cause he’s a troll anyway but recently he got to the level of fame, status and accomplishment to where he even has to take himself serious and he actually can be “canceled”

and that’s obviously a fear of his, listen to his lyrics on this albums

anyways like you say, flowerboy came out and there kinda was guy rumors.... and he started making funny gay raps in freestyles and acting :dame: every now and then on social media

then the makes an ambiguously gay Igor alter ego/album which was his biggest success and he kinda rode the wave but he ain’t Igor anymore he rapping about real issues.

he’s back to straight Hip hop/r&b, talking about his true life and the songs are about girls

But y’all think he’s really gay :mjlol:

they said lil uzi was gay, ASAP Rocky was gay, Kanye was gay, Lil B was gay..... even Andre 3000 back in the day :what:

they’ll say anyone is gay these days
And y’all believe it :snoop:

Lil nas x is definitely gay though :manny:

So here's the thing. Uzi from philly, he HAS to be able to rap, but since these young people want bullshyt, he gives them bullshyt. its just like juicewrld. he could rap his ass off, but he just put that sillly shyt out.

Tyler did good, that is all.
Uzi and Juice make good music imo
