Tyler Perry is good for concepts, as a competent writer could make even some of his more outlandish plots and characters work with a bit of polish, but this is what happens when he's left to his own devices.

One way I can say his writing has evolved is that he's moved beyond the evil dark skinned male villain stereotype and has decided to give everyone a dark backstory with scumbag and sometimes criminal actions. Now everyone is a piece of shyt. On the Oval and Ruthless there's really no one you can root for, well root for and feel good about it.

Way to be positive brotha,but calling this an evolution might be a stretch


Just like I used to think it was a reach when dudes used to question his casting. Even back then I thought he was well rounded in casting everybody in ain't shyt roles.
I remember a few ain't shyt mothers, ain't shyt wives,ain't shyt black men of course. I remember he had positive dark skinned males in his movies too,but people zeroed in on villians to create a narrative.But I grew up on soap operas,and I remember Christian plays my auntees used to watch. So I at least understood his writing back then. Looks like today he has become either a sexual devient who can't help himself.Or he is making scenes with the intent of making them go viral. Which is exactly what scenes this horrible will do. Any black writers on thecoli,please send your content to Tyler Perry,obviously there is some desperation. Help that man to maintain some integrity if he has any left

His shows and movies really popular with women so they're excited to be on camera. Its almost worth being an evil black man on one of his shows for a chance to meet and smash some of these actresses

Go ahead bro you should audition,wouldn't be suprised if you got a role.
Show up on the first day, ready to be apart of a ruthless gang who beats the the hell out of a homosexual.
But end up in a whole different type of scene then you expected.
