Tyler Herro was -35 tonight. Tied for the lowest +/- by a player in a finals game since 2000

If you watched the game you know he wasn't the issue at all. He missed some shots he should have made, but that was to be expected. LA got crazy hot from 3, that's not really on him.

This thread should've been made for Duncan Robinson though. He can’t play in this series if he’s not lights out from 3. Lakers gave him the Lou Will treatment where their offense while he was out there was essentially “screen for Bron until Duncan is switched onto him and let Bron figure out the rest”.

It was a 3 point game up until our starting point guard got injured. Our starting PG who was our leading scorer depending on the series. Miami was basically playing 4 on 5 when LA went on that late 2nd quarter run to go up 17.
You mean the starting PG that came off the bench the entire regular season?
I like Dragic and he’s a vet and has played very well these playoffs but y’all was getting swept or 5 at best with or without him.

Who made the narrative that herro was gonna smoke the Lakers? And are we forgetting he’s a rookie?

He’s a huge part of what Miami does well offensively. His decisiveness and ability to get into the paint is what drives this heat offense. Once he went down, Miami’s offense got stagnant, which allowed LA to clamp down even more defensively, as Miami was trying to figure out different rotations we didn’t expect to see or even have to think about when Dragic went down.

It’s funny how LA’s size, and Herros rookie slump is the main topic of discussion, instead of their shooters going super sayain from deep. It was a close game up until that final stretch of the 2nd half. AD is unguardable, but when you give up that many 3’s and your defense gets picked apart by the rotational guys, than you make things even easier for two GOAT players in LeBron and AD. Even AD himself said and I quote “KCP saved us” This is bigger than hero crapping the bed. Up until that horrible stretch at the end of the 2nd, it looked like he was gonna have a good night. Things just went down hill quickly after the Dragic injury, and then that’s when his rookie experience showed. Once he probably learned that Dragic wasn’t gonna comeback out the locker room and Herro realized that he’d have to get even more minutes and experience against this Lakers D. It happens.

:manny:

If Tyler Herro is overrated and it annoys ppl, than what is there to discuss? He’s just a rookie who went up against an all time player in LeBron and the goat franchise. Herro did what you’d expect from a rookie, given the stage and the circumstances.

:troll:
