Nah..if you got self control, nothing is wack unless you willingly try to change the minds of racists or something. That's just stupid.
It's also interesting she brings up movies because people in Hollywood and other entertainment industries deal with the shyt same wrestlers go through (sometimes even worse) and I feel like we don't get nearly as many meltdowns from.
These wrestlers need to confront the fact that while there are many fans who definitely take shyt too far, this is unfortunately part of being famous and they constantly feed into it. Everyone with any kind of online notoriety or fame has to learn to deal with this, and it can't always be through talking down to your fans and having online blow ups. When some 20 year olds with twitch accounts handle being in the public eye better than you, it might be time to step back and re-evaluate how you're interacting with these spaces for your own sake.
All facts. If we’re being real, a lot of these people should be thankful for having a fan base who even tweets at them to begin with. Like, a Hollywood film like she was referring to on average has a much wider, much more encompassing audience than the average WWE crowd. All these WWE stooges on Twitter attack the fan base, right or wrong, when that same fan base grows smaller and smaller every year. The company (and by proxy the industry as a whole) peaked twenty years ago and it’s been diminishing ever since. Someone like Kayla Braxton is even less known than even a D list celebrity if we’re referring to Hollywood here. If they can’t handle a few people talking shyt about them without breaking their hands typing Twitter finger diatribes, they’d never last being a notable, recognizable star in the public eye on the level of a sports star or a hollywood star.
It makes me wonder if/when Vince changed how he plans these angles. From what I understand he used to have these story lines planned out months ahead of time but for whatever reason hotshots the matches the night of the showAll facts.
On some level, I do feel for the current roster. I'm talking anyone who has joined in the last 5-7 years. The WWE is feeling all the effects of 20+ years of poor long term planning and bad product all at once just as they are coming into their own as the stars of the company. Ratings are down, attendance is down, mainstream awareness is ice cold, and what fans are left are constantly upset and disappointed. While we know it's not on them - the current roster does the best they can with the cards they are dealt - they do get a lot of the flack for it. It has to be frustrating to watch the company you dreamed of working for be in this state while you're a performer on the show.
Where my sympathy runs out is when they start the tribalism and lashing out at any fans who dare to have a negative opinion. Fans can truly get out of pocket, yes. I'm never going to defend the harassment many wrestlers and on screen talents receive. At the same token, fans are absolutely allowed to express themselves and their issues with the product. If they're not @'ing you in their tweets or diving into your DM's, then ignore it if it bothers you so much. Yes, that includes criticisms of matches or a wrestler's work in general. Actors, directors, writers, singers, rappers, atheletes, etc. all have to deal with fan criticism, and in my experience, the vast majority handle it far better than wrestlers do.
All started over cheesecake
Hell yeah it can be back..they got crazy motherfukkers on there..trolls on there..self obsessed types...its insane.I get that
Still, you know this shyt can be wack sometimes
