As an American, you can travel to most countries visa free and also stay there for 30-60 days with no issues. So if he's going to move across African countries for 3-6 months then there are no issues there.
It's the power of the passport. Again, not a race thing.
they are both about the same reallyI notice the anglophone/francophone thing too
Cote D'Ivoire was 10x better than Ghana when I visited in early 2000s, now Ghana is really on the come up.....
It sounded like he was moving there PERMANENTLY.... why would you announce your moving to africa if your not gonna be there full time???

Somebody who actually read the article and just thread titleTake a closer look at the article. Said he's going to the continent for up to 6 months. He's likely going to be bouncing across various countries to meet with people in the tech space. Nigeria, Ghana, SA, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia etc.
He could easily do 1 month per country to get a good sense of what's happening on ground.
I'm sure a foreign ceo of a large African company can move to the US if he wantsSo Americans can just decide they can go live wherever they want yet foreigners cant come to the US
He is probably applying for a residency or a non-tourism visa in addition he is probably bringing capital.
Its not a foreign concept. Chinese people with tons of capital who buy up real estate in North American cities in the US and Canada tend to also "skip the line" or have an easier immigration process as opposed to a regular/average individual without the same resources.
The Portuguese govt. I believe were offering permanent residency for those who were going to invest more than 500k in the aftermath of the financial crisis of 2008.
Africa is the next frontier with all its problems and dysfunction. The potential is huge 1.2 billion people average age of 18 years old fastest growing population in the world and by 2050 1 out of 3 humans on the planet will be African.
China recognized that 20 years ago and came in early. The US is coming to the late party. Given that we live in an interconnecting world especially fliwung of capital from.one market to another.
Same reason why some American posters here always gotta announce that they are planning a trip to "Africa" (whatever that means ) and expect us to give em a round of applause and a Pat on the back.It sounded like he was moving there PERMANENTLY.... why would you announce your moving to africa if your not gonna be there full time???
Africans gotta play their cards right in all of this.
