Africa has the fastest and I think, most digital startups out of all the regions.

They know young people love tech shyt and Africa has the youngest population

As an American, you can travel to most countries visa free and also stay there for 30-60 days with no issues. So if he's going to move across African countries for 3-6 months then there are no issues there.

It's the power of the passport. Again, not a race thing.

I notice the anglophone/francophone thing too:ohhh:

Cote D'Ivoire was 10x better than Ghana when I visited in early 2000s, now Ghana is really on the come up.....
they are both about the same really

In West Africa believe it or not, the most developed nations over there are Ghana, Cote D'Ivoire and Senegal. gdp capita probably around the average and all growing at the same rate. Now if France wasn't such a hinge, they would probably grow 3x faster because their numbers are never rebased and they have to pay colonial tax.

Take a closer look at the article. Said he's going to the continent for up to 6 months. He's likely going to be bouncing across various countries to meet with people in the tech space. Nigeria, Ghana, SA, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia etc.

He could easily do 1 month per country to get a good sense of what's happening on ground.

He is probably applying for a residency or a non-tourism visa in addition he is probably bringing capital.

Its not a foreign concept. Chinese people with tons of capital who buy up real estate in North American cities in the US and Canada tend to also "skip the line" or have an easier immigration process as opposed to a regular/average individual without the same resources.

The Portuguese govt. I believe were offering permanent residency for those who were going to invest more than 500k in the aftermath of the financial crisis of 2008.

Africa is the next frontier with all its problems and dysfunction. The potential is huge 1.2 billion people average age of 18 years old fastest growing population in the world and by 2050 1 out of 3 humans on the planet will be African.

China recognized that 20 years ago and came in early. The US is coming to the late party. Given that we live in an interconnecting world especially flowing of capital from.one market to another.

I mean I get it...:beli: rich folks get incentives on moving to foreign countries for their connections and wealth I'm not naive but there's always a downside with them moving there... :what: like there are other places whiter he could move to...

Same reason why some American posters here always gotta announce that they are planning a trip to "Africa" (whatever that means :mjlol:) and expect us to give em a round of applause and a Pat on the back.
