Not surprising. Many of those folks been around for a long time since the beginning of Twtich and some when it was JustinTV. It's pretty difficult to break in now unless you get co-signed by some of those top streamers or their adjacents.

It's all entertainment at the end of the day. Pro athletes are entertainers and so are streamers.
Statistically it's probably much less stable to be a streamer and the barrier of entry is much lower so there's more competition and median (compare to the major sports) less pay
With the majority pro sports it's an automatic NO if you don't have the right genetics, with streaming anyone can plug in and talk while playing video games

Adin probably getting like 1 mil a month. He had 50k subs at 1 point. That's at least $250k a month. 100k viewers a night and his YT vids go crazy . He had a gambling company giving him Millions in sponsorships as well
