:pachaha: :deadrose: @ this plot summary

Here, let me save you all some time.

10:00: A propane tank blew up at a shopping mall. It looks suspicious. Jack Bauer happens to be on the scene picking up a new massage chair from Sharper Image.

10:30: Jack discovers evidence that the explosion was terrorism. He calls CTU on the phone. A grumpy Chloe answers and promised to run a check on all propane manufacturers in the area and cross reference them with the NSA database for keywords and stuff.

11:00: Chloe tells jack she did some sort of heuristic search and cross reference or something and determined that the explosion was the work of a home-grown terror cell. She says she can do some more research. Jack replies, "THERE ISN'T ANY TIME!"

11:30: The new CTU boss tells Jack it's not his problem.

12:00: Jack tells new CTU boss that if's taken off the case PEOPLE WILL DIE! Chloe begrudgingly agrees to help Jack. But Jaaaaccckkk!

12:30: A local FBI agent (played by James Denton) tells Jack he thinks the propane tank explosion was just a test for something bigger... "much bigger." Jack accepts this at face value. Chloe bangs on the keyboard. CTU boss (played by William Fitchner) fumes at Jack's insubordination.

1:00: New CTU analyst (played by Kol Mikaelson) is seen doing something suspicious. Chloe gives him dirty looks. Jack and local FBI guy investigate a warehouse owned by dude whose phone records or driving record or something indicate he might have information on the mall explosion. A firefight ensues. Jack goes 12 for 13, killing 5 bad guys. FBI guy goes 2 for 17 killing one bad guy.

1:30: Chloe observes new CTU tech and new CTU boss having heated conversation. Chloe mopes a bit and sends Jack a warning to watch out for stuff and be careful.

2:00: Jack gets a call that his massage chair wont be ready for pickup until next week. Chloe continues to mope.

2:30: As Jack and FBI guy investigate the warehouse, they upload photos of documents and maps to the CTU computers via their AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4. Chloe runs them through a cartographic inference engine and cross-references with Pinterest and discovers that the terrorist cell is planning on blowing up the petroleum storage tanks in San Diego. Suddenly, one of the dead bad guy's cellphone (a cool new Lumia 920 from AT&T) rings. Jack tells Chloe, "TRACE THIS CALL!" Somehow, she does.

3:00: Jack takes a huge dump at the local Jack & The Box. When finished, he comes back to the car to determine that FBI guy has been killed as he sat in the car. Jack immediately determines that the bad guys traced the location of the bad guy phone that Jack had left in the car, and killed him. Chloe tells Jack she can which phones were close to the car while Jack was taking a dump, cross reference those phones to see which may have called the bad guy phone, and can now track the shooter. "Good work, Chloe." "Thanks, Jack. Jack?" "Yeah, Chloe?" "Be careful."

3:30: Jack races to the San Diego petroleum storage while Chloe feeds him the location of the shooter's phone.

4:00: New CTU tech is working feverishly at a workstation when Chloe confronts him. He seems mildly suspicious. But not completely suspicious. But Chloe does seem completely bytchy. The audience isn't sure who they dislike more. God damn that bytch knows how to be mopey.

4:30: Jack gets to the petroleum storage tanks, sneaks around, sees a beat-up-and-left-for-dead-and-half-naked petroleum tech under a stairwell. Jack surmises that the bad guy is now dressed like a petroleum tech. The tech mutters something to Jack before he expires, and Jack races off.

5:00: New CTU boss calls Chloe into his office and reveals that this is "way bigger" than she and Jack knows, and he needs to know he can trust her. Chloe vacillates, but ultimately tells the CTU boss that he can trust her. She continues to mope, sends Jack a message to "be careful." Jack is, of course, not careful.

5:30: Jack runs around the petroleum facility using his AT&T phone with obvious brinding to track the location of the bad guy. He rounds a corner and sees a guy messing with some pretty important looking equipment. He raises his gun and screams, "LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS!"

Then Fox takes a three week break in programming (to be continued)...
