Show was flagrant as fukk. Only recent show I know of that gets close is Gomorrah but it's foreign.
They cancelled the lethal weapon episodes where they had blackface from streaming services. Even though the joke was they were being a$$holes for doing blackface and they got called out for it and fought about it within the episodes. They also got rid of the episodes with Dee's racist characters even though no one on the show finds them funny and usually she catches some kind of L in the process.
It's like you can't even present things even it's to attack them or make them look stupid. Treating people like dummies.
Oz on HBO. Gave a lot of shows after it permission to wild out but damn would that show have a hard time now.

Pretty much this. But probably 8 years instead of 15. Vanilla shows like friends and Seinfeld wouldnt be made the same way let alone anything remotely more risqué
