The CW is officially bringing back nearly its entire lineup for the 2019-20 broadcast season.

CW's "Fukk it, just renew everything" is cool to see for fans of those shows. Every show on the CW this year was renewed.

Yeah, All-American is perhaps the most surprising due to ratings but it seemed to get a lot of positive press.

Most happy to see The 100 already renewed.
I feel like because the ratings for the CW's shows are so low, they decided to just renew everything instead instead of giving the effort & putting up the money to launch new shows that are just gonna end up getting the same ratings.

yeah, they never really cared about ratings
CW makes their money selling their shows to Netflix and overseas
Having multiple series, each with over 100 episodes in the bank is printing money for them in this streaming age

Well with shows ending this season and next (izombie, Crazy Ex, Jane the Virgin, Arrow and Supernatural) they dont need to

Its telling though that apart from Batwoman they got not much else new and with WB planning a response to Disney + and Netflix competing we'll see how long the CW exists as we know it in 5 years. Then again Ive been saying that for years

Yeah I dont know whats gonna happen with the DC universe. They keep saying its a success but the numbers and launch have been :ld: I guess theres room to grow but its also maybe a bit niche for another monthly streaming content that people need to pay

I've heard WB gonna do what Disney is doing with DIsney plus and will probably just follow that and take some programming. That leaves the CBS produced CW shows to go to the main channel and die,

Only benefit for keeping CW as a channel after that is affiliate money I guess

I think it serves ATT best to move this niche service under their warner media service.
I mean Disney + announced more day one content than DC will have after 2 years... I feel for DC Universe because I like it.
