It gets a little better once John Larroquette comes to work for the night court. The two principles are OK together but the backups are terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep the 2 and completely replace the supporting staff. The cop, bailiff and the prosecutor are all universally terrible.
I would have figured the judge chick would have had enough Big Bang money to be way more selective than this.

Makes sense. The side characters are what I liked the least. Hhr regarding ol' girl taking the role..........ego is a motherfukker. There's always at least one person's form one of those long running hit sitcoms that goes back to the well, and I can see how maybe the money wasn't enough for her to get over being somewhere from the fourth the sixth most important character from an ensemble comedy.

I watched the first episode last night, and was not expecting to see this happen at all.

In that case, can anybody shed light on if the show gets better after that first episode? It was pretty bad.

With the way it’s been trending down lately, it wouldn’t surprise me if NBC reverses that renewal.
