i hate the fact that a lot of these kids grew up with loving parents but had no choice but to grow up with a fukk the world mentality. i watched a couple documentaries where former gang bangers stated that they were pushed to be super aggressive due to them being robbed or assaulted by older gangsters. can't blame them, like turtle said "you either fight, or stay in the house . . . I wasn't staying inside for no one"
I remember when I was a kid, the Vice Lords used to give kids the blues. Making them change the route they walked to/from school or walking in groups. It always that one punk ass kid that you couldn't throw hands with cuz his older brother or cousins were VLs and would threaten to run and tell them. Lotta folks joined just to avoid the fukkery, or became G's to get back at them.

You can say it's the south
They all come up here from the south

Unlike a lot of east coast n*ggas
West coast stayed in touch with their roots in the south

Yeah, i love the east coast, but i gotta call a lot of them nikkaz out. The West and Midwest always did music with the South. A LOT of music. The East didnt wanna have anything to do with the South consistently til 98, when nikkaz like Outkast were gettin 5 mics in the Source and when Cash Money got that huge distribution deal.
