according to the Sun-Times’ Joe Cowley, it sounds like the Bulls are finally prepared to do exactly that:

“I think once the NBA officially makes its decision, then the front office will make the decision and from what I’m hearing the decision is going to be that they’re moving on from Jim Boylen and the coaching staff,” Cowley told Dan Bernstein on 670 The Score. “And there’s members of the coaching staff right now that feel that way because there are a couple that I know personally that have already checked out or are already looking on other jobs … so they kind of feel the decision is made.”

it would have been very unsatisfying if Boylen wasnt gone. Boylen being pushed as coach was the ultimate nail in the coffin for Garpax

I still have hope new mgmt / coaching staff can also revitalize Lauri, just getting back to 2nd year levels would be nice at this point

regardless of coach even, would be a huge boost if we could just be healthy for a full season

Is there any point , in bringing boylen back if the season restarts

If I'm the new mgmt ..I'm bringing in the new guy in NOW let him get familiar with this team partially for rest of the year ,

so coming into the off season and start of next season the guys are already familiar , and he knows how he wants to move forward with this group

Limits the potential candidates if you try to bring in a coach now.
