I read this some where else too, that near the end of the 3rd Zach blew off Boylen. I mean it’s pretty clear he’s lost the locker room. It’s pathetic it’s happened this quick and he got an extension but you can’t let this continue

Boylen talking about spirit in the postgame
Basic ass coach
:heh:

The sad thing is, he doesn't even realize that giving everybody on the squad the green light to shoot 3s is playing into the opponent's gameplan. Shout out to Kris Dunn being left wide open from 3 and going 0-5, I'm sure if they asked Jim about that he'll just be like, "Those are the shots we want".... not realizing that it's exactly who the other team wants shooting as well.

Starting to sour on Lauri.. thought he had some serious potential when he went toe to toe with KP his rookie year and while he’s shown flashes of Elite scoring when he isn’t injured.. he’s so damn inconsistent and I’m not sure if he’ll become better than a inconsistent soft Stretch 4 that can give you 30 one night than 10-14 for the next 5 games. I’m not saying we should trade him or anything, but it seems like he and Lavine both can’t have a night where they both go for 20 and both play well In the same game. He’s been such a disappointment and his Field goal percentage and 3 point percentage coupled with how tentative he is has been a major let down.

Wish Hutch could stay healthy because he looks a difference maker but always has some random injury that derails his progress, Denzel is what he is and Otto is a decent stop gap hopefully with no
Out, Hutchinson can gradually get a bigger role cause I love how he plays and shows promise as a starting 3, if health permits ..

WCJ has been our most consistent starter and is basically a Poor Mans Horford and looks like he’ll be a starting Center for years to come. I hope when Kornet comes back, Boylen stops giving Gafford minutes cause I think we got something in him with his sheer athleticism and explosiveness.

It’s an incompatible backcourt mainly due to defemse but I hope Boylen eventually experiments with a Lavine/Coby Starting Backcourt Cause at this point shyts a mess and it’s looking like another mid lotto pick is on the horizon. Coming into the season I thought our starting 5 was constructed pretty well but that just wishful thinking . Coby and Lavine obviously won’t mesh well since their both so ball dominant to get buckets but it’s worth a try to start em together eventually. Sato isnt our future point and whiles he done what expected , him and Dunn aren’t the future Point Guard when it’s all said and done..

Thank Gawd the league is so entertaining with a plethora of young Players cause another season of below Average mediocrity is a bytch to watch.

Lauri is such a bum, wtf happened with him
p

Had a spark when he started:francis:

In reality I never thought he was that good.....he outplayed porzingis and had some hi scoring games so ppl got gassed up and even threw out Dirk comparisons:heh:

To me his ceiling was always Cavs era K Love...a potential solid 3rd option. Or maybe a more athletic Ryan Anderson(Magic era),

Right now he just look like a rich man's Steve Novak

If his shot's not falling, he offers nothing....no defense, mediocre rebounding...no playmaking......at least Niko could was a decent rebounder/defender

At this point, his value is low so it wouldn't make sense to trade him.....wait til he gets hot, let him build value and then get a late 1st

Pure stretch 4s aren't as useful as they were 5 years. Now you can have big 3s just slide down to 4.

Having a 4 who can make plays is much more important than just a big who can shoot

Lauri needs to change some things about his game and he can still be useful. Not max player useful I think at this point we know he not a max player but if he got away from the , trying to be the next porzingas, got more into passing well from out the post, setting hard screens, crashing the boards, getting some put backs, and stop that dam coast to coast shyt he does , he can be useful.

These changes would help him compliment more on the floor with coby and lavine rather be competing with them for shots. This is why Carter Jr is doing well with them.

But lauri inability to defend and protect the rim might push him down in the rotation. Garpax would never want to do this, but if we keep losing starting young and letting run with the 2nd unit might be what we have to explore

Senior advisor Doug Collins’ opinion is carrying weight in this, as Collins has never been a huge fan of Forman’s.

The genesis of that relationship going south stemmed from former coach Fred Hoiberg, who Collins immediately had questions about when vice president of basketball operations John Paxson named Collins to the brain trust back in 2017.

Collins was underwhelmed by Hoiberg’s leadership skills, and was openly critical of Hoiberg throughout the Advocate Center in the wake of the Nikola Mirotic-Bobby Portis practice altercation.

While Paxson and the Bulls have all publicly insisted that Hoiberg’s hiring was a group decision, it was no secret that Forman was pushing for Hoiberg almost a year before Tom Thibodeau was fired. In Collins’ mind, the Hoiberg hiring was strike one.
Even in the last week, Forman had more missteps that didn’t go unnoticed.

The Bulls honored two-time All-Star forward Luol Deng last week, and that meant a handful of former players in attendance at the game to support Deng in retirement. According to one, Forman was aloof to the group throughout the evening, and that did very little in players changing their opinion on him.
So why Forman and not Paxson, or Boylen for that matter, as well?

Like vice president of baseball operations Ken Williams with the White Sox, Paxson is all but untouchable in Reinsdorf’s eyes.
And what about Boylen? What Boylen has on his side is the others in the organization that agreed to extend his contract for three years. That included not only Forman, Paxson and Collins, but team president Michael Reinsdorf and Jerry, himself.

Boylen is well respected by the entire brain trust, while Forman is not.

Gar is so insignificant at this point, who even cares. It’s clear Pax has final say and Boylen is the biggest issue IMO. What’s Gar even responsible for? Scouting? We haven’t even drafted that poorly tbh

Firing Gar would be their way to appease the fanbase by firing someone but what impact would it even have? Like I’m all for Gar being gone, but ultimately it’s not going to change things

yea they are basically going to make gar fall on the sword for something that was screwed up from the top to the bottom starting with jerry. jerry hands the keys to the organization to his buddies and values his loyalty to his friends over the good business of the team and the fans. gar forman AND john paxson should have gone the next day after they traded jimmy and gave the organization a new vision. how the hell are guys who failed to build a contender more than once, granted yet another shot at rebuilding?

why the hell would you extend boylen without seeing what he can produce during a season where we are trying and not tanking?

btw, hoiberg is only getting 2.5 from jerry as his job is paying the other half, boylen is only at about 1.5-1.7 mill per, so it would be technically the same money and wouldnt break them to dismiss boylen. i just dont see boylen working with these players. they already ignoring him. soon we will be too below .500 to recover in the season. we cant keep dropping games to teams we should beat. unless we are going to throw in the towel for this season. if we want to make the playoffs, boylen has to go

The logic was some dumb shyt like "It'll be tough hiring good assistants if the coach isn't secured for the long term"

Why the fukk didn't we just hire a good coach then?
