Damn RIP to a legend. This is random but I was in Stone Mountain (GA) last night and saw a festival at what used to be the old Tupac Shakur Center for the Arts. Turns out the Ethiopian Community bought the place and turned it into a community center. Anyone here that grew up in GA familiar with the place?

i was in 5th grade

kids in my school were fukked up about it...i had no idea who 2pac was

i vividly remember asking a friend about it and he said "big poppa killed 2pac :mjcry:"

 in hindsight

but....that christmas, I got a dual cd player/recorder and my homie gave me the Makaveli 7 Day Theory cassette

and thus begin a musical love affair :wow:

the most if not one of the most complete rappers in more ways than one.
overall MC, great artistry, diverse.

Its also pretty crazy when you look at his music and how long he lived how diverse, multifacted, and complete it is

Im not talkin just subject matter. But In regards types of songs you would want a rapper/ rap artist to do hes done them which is crazy for a career that spanned only 6-7 years( 8 if you consider 1988 as his initiation into the game) some rappers don't show the amount of versatile repretoire like he showed in 5 albums

Pac has storytelling, conceptual, concious, lyrical, rhyme scheme based, introspective, serenade, Battle rap, bangers, cyphers and other type of tracks

^^^ when you add his ability to do all these type of songs^^ and his diverse subject matter. its what makes his material so liked by the masses.

Dude was always doing something new each album or had a style/theme to it that distinguished itself from the other. Me Against The World with the Blues elements and the introspective narrative for example.

its why you can say "theres a Pac song for everything" whether in subject matter or rap styles.
And why he has such a diverse fanbase and influence. Pac has inspired all sorts of acts from concious acts, lyrical miracle spiritual acts, Gangsta, political acts.

with other legends you know the type of rappers they influence, but with Pac? dude's versatility shows in the variety and diverse acts influenced by him

and this^^ is not even including his posthumonous songs that came after
