I just work with loops because the ableton light doesn't have autochop to midi function. I'd love to mash the sample up some more in the future. I'm kinda stuck on how to do basslines right now too...
i dont know how to use none of these features lol. i just kinda accidentally fall into shyt that almost sounds ok. bass lines are usually a rough spot for me but i lucked into this one. the sample itself had dope bass sounds so i just yanked those.

Lol that's the best way of making beats. Just legit throwing things at the boards and seeing if it sticks. I never have anything already laid out except for maybe a few mixes for my drums. For the most part winging it>>>>.

i took my bass sounds right out of the sample. just eq'd them til it was mostly just the bass sounds and played it out. that type of shyt is a god send because i hate trying to open one of these extensions to try to create bass sounds myself..shyt is a mindfukk in itself

basslines got way easier for me once i discovered this easy trick....
basically get a similar sound to the melody in your sample (although you can usually use piano for any), then loop small sections of it at a time play notes up and down your keyboard until they match the notes being played in the sample
then just replace the piano sound with the bass synth of your choice

This shyt is nice as fukk breh but, just one thing....You should edit your track title on your soundcloud to AnthonMuzick instead of King Musa, as that is my producer name lol.

piano bit is dope
started pulling it out pitched it down and played with some of the filter-y shyt going on at the end of the track but gave up
