Base PS5 shouldn't be the standard. The stronger hardware, then fine tuned for the base PS5. Isn't that always the case with 3rd party studios? The stronger console should always get priority, otherwise the game doesn't get fully optimized.

dunno why you laughing @Leasy. Already got games running 1440p/120hz on the BASE PS5. OLED Gang got that VRR support.

the pro console is niche and they know this. Same happened when the PS4 dropped and only 1 in 5 new PS4s bought was the Pro.

Imagine trading in your PS5 for $400 and still needing to come up off an additional $400 cash to get a PS5 Pro and a disc drive.

this is the big problem

if Tsuhima 2 or Death Stranding 2 were dropping people would be hyped. Hard to get excited for old games I beat years ago getting improvements.

Or better yet, they should have waited and released Astro Bot on Nov 7, the same day PS5 Pro dropped.
