TSC's WOAT Gimmick Tourney Rd 1 --- The Young Bucks vs. The Spirit Squad (Spirit Squad wins)

The Spirit Squad was supposed to be a cheesy comedy stable by design. They weren't my cup of tea, but they somehow got over.
The MAGA Bucks try their hardest to be cool, funny, and hip, but they're two unfunny, prissy little try hards who can't wrestle & who got beat up by a washed up failed MMA fighter with 1 good arm. Again, not my cup of tea, but they too somehow have a fan base.

This was a toss up for me, but since I can tolerate Dolph Ziggler and Kenny Dykstra more than I can tolerate the Jackson brothers, I voted for the Young Bucks.

I still don't fully understand the whole AEW Backstage "I work with children" drama, but, this is

Young Bucks got Bullet Club to pop worldwide, resurrected Too Sweet (to the point HHH got mad and did a cease and desist to something they dont even own) and created a successful wrestling company off their name. Theyre doing something right

Success is not necessarily a measurement of quality.

Are they compelling wrestlers, is their gimmick entertaining, I can’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say yea to those questions. They’re two fukking goofs that have more in common with Gabby Douglass and Dominique Moceanu than Terry Funk and Ernie Ladd.



Whatever this is is their gimmick and it fukking sucks.
