So I started a personal project of watching the big 4 ppvs and all the raw/smackdown/superstars that lead into the show (and the post show. So I can have full context) in order from 89-present day.

im not a huge fan of pre 89 wwf plus they weren’t really established until later in the decade anyway. Getting ready to hop into Mania 11 and Some things that jump out to me thus far on my watches…

gah damn hogan was annoying as fukk lol

Crazy to see hogan and warriors physiques off the gas as the years go on. Especially 92.

Savage was over as fukk in the mid 90s . sucked when I got to summerslam 94 knowing that was his last wwf ppv.

it’s dope seeing the rise of taker Bret and hbk. I can’t wait till I reach the point where Austin rock and hhh come into the fold. Amazing that it’s Literally approaching their era.

mid 90s wwf was as cheesy as I remember you can tell they were trying out different things to see what sticks. That new generation era is brutal.

:dame: @the camera always switching to Rikishi’s ass backstage and the crowd roaring.

Goddamn Triple H’s promos were so boring in 2000. Too much of the McMahon’s too.

Looking back, I wish they would’ve made Malenko and Saturn a permanent tag team. They were the two of the four Radicals that didn’t take off. They had a few matches early on as a tag team and they looked good. Could’ve even called them the new Brainbusters as they were similar to Arn and Tully in size and technical wrestling ability.

WWE In 95 was sad lmao. That was a tough year to get through on my BIG 4 watches.

In hindsight a lot of those guys went on to have hall of fame careers but man that new generation transitional period had to been tough to work through.

super excited to watch 1996. Taker about to go into his lod period. rock , foley and Austin are on their way. Hall nash and the kid about to leave. Hbk about to take over the top spot , Bret is winding down. And hhh is starting to emerge. Straight fire.

I actually think that played a huge part in Austin's rise too because he stood out so much compared to how horrible and cartoonish the rest of the content at the time was. Like he'd be a star no matter what but if he came along three years later I don't think he would've shot up near as fast.

These pig farmers with their corny farmer music? Why the fukk was I watching this shyt as a kid..

The roadie, Billy Gunn or rockabilly... The fukking honky tonk man..So much down south country bullshyt lmaoo:mjlol:

This is painful to fukking watch... I hated WCW, never got into it, but I can see why nikkas wasn't watching this shyt :hhh:

....just watched raw from 14 April 97.. Brett holding a Kuwait flag cutting a vicious promo on America is gold :dead:

Literally the only good shyt is the main event... Stone cold vs Brett, Shawn vs Brett..
