Decided to watch Rumble 2014 to see how things have changed because this is the last PPV before the Network, the last PPV before NXT got its own specials, the last appearance of CM Punk.
But also lol at how many people are in exactly the same spots in 2021:
Miz is still trying to get back to the main event of WM
Sheamus has reverted back to Loberster Head era fella
Big E was IC Champion heading into the 2014 Rumble
Cesaro was and still is in a random mid card tag team going nowhere
Fandango still a random comedy character doing nothing
Rey Mysterio just random legend still around but not really doing anything of note, although he was real flabby and sick at this point
Kofi still the guy doing cool elimination saves and it's like his world title run never even happened
Dolph Ziggler is still the guy trying to be HBK
The rest of the field are in AEW, retired, or in other smaller promotions:
