Vince v Shane (first time ever)
HHH v Shamrock
Of course all the matches lasted like 1 minute and had non finishes
Still even in that era it was dumb just throwing Taker and Show together for the first time in a throw away TV match. That shyt should've been saved for a major PPV. But they did the same with Austin and Show.
Booking in 99 is generally horrible. Can't wait til Russo's bytch ass goes to WCW

That Bret/Owen story from Survivor Series 93 to Survivor Series 94 might be the pinnacle of wrestling storytelling.

I was gonna follow up this post with that as an example. I never pieced together the whole storyline till now but even adding Anvil into stir shyt up and having Lawler's hate for anything Hart family just tells you what's missing from this product as a whole today.
It goes deeper than that because the Survivor Series 1994 finish is what sent Bret down the path of darkness, just like Backlund. Losing the title in the same fashion (IE someone throwing in the towel), Bret spent most of 1995 being angry and far more aggressive than he had been in the past on his path to regain the title by any means necessary. Everyone forgets the first time Bret snapped on Raw, in 1995, on Jerry Lawler, out calling him a piece of shyt in front of the kids and screaming at Vince. So he gets his title back only to lose it back. He takes time off and finds he's been replaced, snaps, turns heel, becomes a bitter old vet who blames the fans and tries to injure the new guys who took his spot.
