This Owens vs Balor match is fire though. Can't wait until he comes back. Not a fan of coup de gras but he is great as always.

These muthafuggas had 2 of the biggest stars of all time going against the NWO whom was responsible for the shift change of the land scape in wrestling and they just throw it on free TV like it wasn't shyt. This is a WRESTLEMANIA caliber main event. :gucci:
There was no other time to do it

Not really. Nash/Hall/Hogan were pretty much washed by then.

That NWO wasn't really the NWO at that point. PLus at that poiint, Rock was becoming part-time anyway, so gotta use him when you can. And Austin's popularity had kinda waned by 02 as well.

Watching Survivor Series 2016 and they dubbed JBL's "Raw wins!" with JBL screaming "Smackdown Wins! Smackdown Wins!" when Bray pins Reigns :heh:

While I agree that Hogan/Hall/Nash were washed at that point (and to be fair, Hall/Nash were in their 40s and Hogan was in his 50s), I also think all three of them were putting in FAR more effort than they had in years. Nash seriously was putting in the most effort in 2002-2003 than he had since 1997. Check out the Nash/Rock match on SD and tell me he wasn't trying the hardest he possibly could at that point in his career. And yes, Rock was part time and Austin in 2002 was not Austin in 1998/1999 physically or popularity wise. On top of all of that, there would never be a 3 on 2 handicap match like of this caliber at WM anyway. This made sense completely on a Raw a week or two before a WM that had Austin/Hall and Hogan/Rock.

Hogan had legit some of his best matches in 2002-2003. Like...tell me Rock/Hogan and Vince/Hogan weren't better than anything he did since like 1990.

just pulled it up on network, gonna watch before bed.

And yeah, I'll agree Hogan/Vince and Rock/Hogan is better than anything he ever did in WCW. My point is, the NWO at that point wasn't "main event of WM" caliber-NWO.
