Im waiting on HEAT.. Heat was fire breh. Especially those first couple of years before Smackdown debuted.
Always loved Heat especially right before a PPV. That was basically the preshow back in the day. There's at least one match that takes place in the actual PPV arena that you dont see on the main show.

Remember young me being sad when Heat would go off and you knew the actual PPV was coming on next.

Parents being cheap so you could only catch bits and pieces of the PPV/audio like this smh

They should start uploading Superstars eps, that was the flagship show from the 80s to the early-90s...

I think there's an issue there with the name tho'. They don't own the name "Superstars of Wrestling" so they had to blur/edit all that shyt when they used to have it on WWE.com. Maybe for aesthetic purposes, they just don't wanna have a bunch of chopped-up shyt on the Network.

Yeah there is way too many classics moments on Superstars to not have at least some stuff on there.

Also Bret needs to come to an agreement about them Stampede tapes. It was on the Network for like a week before it got pulled over rights issues. I need that vintage Dynamite Kid shyt :ohlawd:

Rewatching mania xx and Goldberg / Brock

Goldberg was MAD AS fukk at Brock for getting mentally out of the beginning of the match..."ahh fukk THESE PHONY PEOPLE, LETS fukkING GO"

"Ah fukk IT"

Lesnar snaps out if it, still stalls...

AUSTIN CHANT STARTS. Austin with the "

I hated this crowd...

Two lockups to show equal strength....THIS MATCH SUCKS chants

Shoulder blocks to do it again and another nose to nose...a double shoulder tackle....to do it again....I forgot how bad the crowd hated this match.

Jesus...I forgot how strong Goldberg was...dude military pressed a flat-footed Brock and power slammed him from his shoulders...and a random Goldberg sucks chants :laff:

Jesus, I forgot this shyt ended clean as fukk with a ONE ARMED JACKHAMMER and a 3 count.
Brock didn't even sell that shyt for long...he was on his feet before Goldberg was out the ring.

This was legit terrible. Way worse than I remembered. The squash destroys it.

Brock is honestly better and more entertaining in his second go round.

Dude has jobbed to single spears and jackhammers twice. Brock is Goldbergs total bytch in kayfabe lol

My first time watching Starrcade 85 it was pretty piff.

Guess it was a requirement for every wrestler to blade back then. Speaking of wrestlers blading random thought while watching Abdullah the Butcher. Did he and Kamala ever cross paths?

What was the deal with Nature Boy Buddy Landell? So it was cool for him to basically be a Ric Flair wannabe. I remember when I started watching wrestling dude was straight jobber status. Here he was pretty legit.

The whole dynamic of bringing in wrestlers from other territories was interesting:ehh: Still dont understand it, but it was cool.

I know KKKogan stole Billy Graham's swag, but damn didn't know it was that bad. Guess Graham was washed by this point, but I'll have to check out his earlier work.

Haven't seen a ton of his work, but I like Magnum TA. Did he ever wrestle Flair one on one on tv? I imagine they would have feuded for the strap if he didn't get hurt.. Magnum's match with Tully along with Hart/Austin and JBL/Cena are my favorite I quit matches of all time.

Been slowly but surely watching 97 wwf from start to finish, just finished the raw after WM13, the Bret hart heel turn was so well done, it is one of the best slow burn turns they've ever done, maybe the best. Austin was so well done too, the crowd was slowly turning him face going back to 96 but they still booked him as a heel and ho got over organically as a face. Now they would have booked him as a baby face right away killing all his momentum

Abby and Kalama teamed once in Montreal. I think that's it. The deal with Landel was that JJ couldn't manage Flair, so he got the next best thing. He was actually supposed to win the title from Flair at one point.

With territories, guys would work smaller ones to hone their skills and work in front of different audiences, and then promoters would trade guys back and forth when they got stale or had nothing else to learn in the area. Most of the territories were at least loosely affiliated via the NWA or just business, so they weren't really competing with each other, exactly. The more places there were to work, the more places there were for talent to get better, which ultimately was better for everyone. Because each company was regional instead of national, as long as you didn't encroach on another booker's area, things were fine. Then Vince decided he wanted to push for a national product and began poaching top stars from various territories, causing most of them to shut down or also try to go national. AWA and JCP/NWA/WCW were basically the only competitors left by 87-88. AWA had been on its last legs for years at that point, and Ted Turner was about to step in and buy JCP because it was going under, too.

Hogan stole Superstar's shyt TWICE. Two different eras of Superstar to steal from. But yes, he was washed by 1985 (really by like 1980), and that karate shyt is not indicative of his career or character. The Network has a Dusty/Superstar match and Superstar/Bruno match up if you dig for them. Dusty is under his collection, and Bruno is in the vault Old School section. The only Flair/Magnum match on the Network (unless they had a short TV match in the studio in 1985) is AWA Superclash 85.

It's two weeks before Starrcade. 80% of the roster isn't booked. Bret Hart makes his WCW giving a halfhearted promo for a Larry Zbyszko/Eric Bischoff match. Scott Norton accidentally kills Rick Steiner. Throughout the show, FOUR different fans tried to hit the ring and got their shyt pushed in.

The best part about this is Konnan not reacting at all, because it's totally normal to him to drop someone on their head.

Never run in on Randy Savage or a WCW official :demonic:

About a month prior, a fan actually got a hold of Bischoff from behind, but had so much momentum he overshot and fell and then Norton stomped him.
