1996 Raws are pretty good, I like the booking back then even tho they weren't working with much. The shytty gimmicks are fukkin great. TL Hopper

Honestly Lawler was kind of overdoing the Jake Roberts jokes. It just got obnoxious which is what he's supposed to do as a heel but he was trying way too hard to crowbar in a joke.
I feel like that's his character to be extra annoying and over do shyt, he got great heat.
Shawn got dead serious when Austin stepped in the ring, loved how "real" that felt
Was just thinking the same thing. Also no homo but Austin was yoked around that time.

I watched the retirement match between Macho Man/Ultimate Warrior from WM 7 yesterday, shyt was sooo good, easily the best match from that event and I've never really heard a lot of people talk about it over the years or on TSC but it was really good, crowd was super hot. The finish was kinda weird as Warrior got up from 5 consecutive elbow drops and a while later pinned Savage after a shoulder block and pin with his foot 
It was crazy watching it knowing that only 2 people out of the whole ordeal is still alive. Sensational Sherri was in Macho's corner in the match and got attacked by Miss Elizabeth who was watching from the crowd after Sherri turned on Randy. Jesse Ventura and Monsoon were on commentary. The only people still alive from that are Ventura and Earl Hebner who was the referee....erie shyt

It's a cool ass match but a better story line. It's what Vince spends all his time trying to recreate and he can't because there was only one Macho and to a lesser extent.. only one Warrior and Sherri and Liz were obviously perfect for their respective roles.
Warrior kicking out of five elbows was bullshyt but when Macho kicked out of Warrior's finish it got really awesome because then Warrior starts to question "the gods" and his beliefs. Warrior ends up beating Macho but it wasn't just a shoulder block it was four consecutive diving shoulder blocks where Macho spilled outside on to the concrete. It made sense.

I loved how that match came down to one finisher.... ONE finisher. This day and age I don't care for multiple finisher in big time matches it takes away from the impact to me
move sets are so limited now that there are like no game changing moves..so they can't help but just kick out of finishers
