in my opinion he had two key opportunities for a wwf championship run

either when he beat bret at mania, he should have had a title run after that or after the screwjob when he was the black hart

He had some momentum when he came back as a face after the Montreal screwjob and attacked HBK... don't remember for sure, but Shawn ended up fighting Taker at the Rumble instead and having that back injury that took him out for a long time

austin had next so i understand why they didn't go with owen

when owen attacked shawn from behind after the screwjob the crowd popped big. when they did have the actual match and owen had shawn in the sharpshooter it was believable he was going to win.

That Blunders countdown is a good counter to "why do grown men still watch wrestling" I was the whole time.


It helped me appreciate the dungeon of doom all over again. That shyt was some great B movie material.
