Shelton Benjamin could be returning to WWE as the sports-entertainment organization recently applied to trademark “Shelton Benjamin” for the purpose of merchandise.

This is according to a page on 4-Traders.com, which notes that Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen, WWE’s Vice President of Intellectual Property, made the application. It is noted below the article that trademark applications were also filed for “AWA American Wrestling Association,” “Beyond The Ring,” “Crush Couture,” “Crush Wear,” “NXT,” “Skull King,” “The Miz” and “Total Divas.”

From the Observer
Austin was clearly trying to walk a delicate line. There was no way he couldn't ask about Punk, and he pushed about as much as he could in that environment and considering the nature of Vince's responses. Perhaps the most fascinating part of the show, though, was when Austin asked about the shows being too heavily scripted and micromanaged, noting that when he was on top, the shows were written by a small staff working by Vince's pool. Past "times change," Vince had no answer and seamlessly deflected when the topic of his habit of shoving fully-clothed people into the pool came up. HA-HA and all that. It was really telling that of all the things they discussed, that was the one where he deflected the most, though it was early on and he clearly got a lot more relaxed later.

On the topic of Randy Savage in the WWE Hall of Fame, he said it's happening soon, but it may not be this year, implying that at worst, it would be in 2016. We've been hearing for a while that he'll be going in this year, though I'm not sure if he'd be slotted as the "main event" induction since he's going in posthumously and I think that would be a first. I'm sure Lanny Poffo would be able to do a main event worthy speech, though. Vince's facial expressions during the Savage discussion were so pained and awkward that they clearly made Austin uncomfortable and I've seen animated GIFs of the moment popping up online. That'll probably fuel more rumors.

Vince's dismissal of Cesaro, which was really just him airing the thoughts that have already been widely reported (great in-ring wrestler but not there yet in terms of charisma or speaking ability), was weird to hear. Cesaro was over huge and they killed him off in spectacular fashion. Austin started pushing on that point but Vince didn't really respond, and they didn't even get into the fact that Austin disagrees about Cesaro's charisma and promos, too. Plus, if this is what Vince thought, why was Cesaro given a completely clean SmackDown main event win over then WWE Champion Randy Orton in the midst of getting long showcase matches on every show? It's hard not to think something we don't know about happened even if there's no evidence pointing in that direction.

Think about this for a second: He was getting bigger and bigger babyface reactions every show. He was looking like the best wrestler in the world, getting the opportunity to have long showcase matches on every show, including a clean TV main event win over the WWE champion, which was treated like a huge deal. They built to a babyface turn at WrestleMania, peaked it perfectly, and capitalized by putting him over in brilliant fashion with how he won the first-ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Even putting Paul Heyman with him seemed like a really cool, clever idea on the night they shot the angle...but that was only when it looked like Cesaro was a babyface with a heel (maybe tweener) manager. When the magical WrestleMania weekend was over and he was a heel again the next night on SmackDown, got terrible entrance music, and became window dressing to Paul Heyman bloviating about Brock Lesnar, it killed him dead. For a while, when they were seemingly setting up Cesaro turning on Heyman, it there was some hope, especially when it seemed like he was the original planned Money in the Bank winner, but it evaporated.

Rock was just on nba on tnt with shaq and everyone. Shaq challenged him to a fight on april 19th after saying rock was too pretty to beat him. Shaq got rock at the end too with it doesnt matter when your show premiers interruption. Then Rock tossed a producer into a pool.

Rock on Turner Broadcast. Vince loses.

The current plan for Orton when he returns is to come back as a babyface and feud with Kane. The WWE aired Kane interviews that aired exclusively in some Canadian markets in which he vowed to get back at Orton for the choices he made.
