@stro a wrestling dude I follow on twitter was posting your gifs from the NWA yesterday :gladbron:

There were 2 dudes who all they did was go through and post every gif from a review, usually in sequential order, and since they both had more followers than me I'd ask them to at least give my site a plug when they're pillaging it exclusively and they both blocked me. Now one of them retweets himself from 2-3 years ago and the other one had saved my google drive before I locked it :mjlol:

Lmao Naylor, CZW Fans represent

So happy he figured out how to do gifs instead of record something on his screen and post a twitter vid :mjlol:

Nah the guys I'm talking about are some UK guy and someone who still posts gifs I haven't made for years on reddit pretty frequently. You can tell by the size and image quality if I made it usually, but the site hasn't even been up for 2 1/2 years so idk where they're still at :mjlol:

PWInsider reports that WWE has posted a four hour compilation of footage from the 1986 inaugural Jim Crockett Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament as this week’s Hidden Gem on the WWE Network. It was held on April 19, 1986. It featured 24 teams competing over two events at the Superdome in New Orleans. The teams included:

Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard
Giant Baba and Tiger Mask
The Barbarian and Baron von Raschke
The Batten Twins (Bart and Brad Batten)
Black Bart and Jimmy Garvin
Dino Bravo and Rick Martel
Bill Dundee and Buddy Landel
The Fabulous Ones
The Fantastics
Manny Fernandez and Jimmy Valiant
Ronnie Garvin and Magnum T.A.
Chavo and Hector Guerrero
Sam Houston and Nelson Royal
The Italian Stallion and Koko Ware
Bobby Jaggers and Mike Miller
Wahoo McDaniel and Mark Youngblood
The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton)
D.J. Peterson and Brett Wayne
The Road Warriors
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express
Ivan and Nikita Koloff
Buzz Sawyer and Rick Steiner
The Sheepherders
Terry Taylor and Steve Williams

The card also included NWA World Champion Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes and Mid-South Wrestling Champion Hacksaw Duggan vs. dikk Slater. There would be two more Crockett Cup tournaments held by Crockett Promotions before it was shut down and sold to Turner. WCW didn’t continue the tradition. The Cup was brought back earlier this year by Billy Corgan’s NWA, and was won by Villain Enterprises, which also got them the NWA tag team titles.

- WWE Champion Kofi Kingston noted on Twitter this week that his chest hasn’t been the same since taking a chop from Big Show back in 2009.

Responding to a fan who commented on Kofi’s chest looking like it’s “collapsed” on SmackDown this week, he responded and wrote, “@WWETheBigShow chopped me in the chest in ‘09 and it hasn’t been the same since… [crying face emoji]”

WRESTLING / NEWSNick Dinsmore on Getting to Do a TV Angle With The Rock, How It Took Eugene to the Next Level, Charity Match With Jonathan Coachman

July 11, 2019 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

– KDLT.com recently spoke with former WWE Superstar Nick Dinsmore (aka Eugene). Dinsmore was promoting his upcoming show and match with Jonathan Coachman this week to benefit the St. Luke’s Heart Institute. Below are some highlights.

Dinsmore on his segment with The Rock: “The Rock’s music hit and they say he’s the most electrifying man in sports entertainment and we were in this, it was just a magic moment. And the thing was, that’s what made me a star. That’s what took Eugene to the next level. The Rock came out and said ‘Eugene and the Rock are friends’ the Rock didn’t know me. He didn’t have to do that.”

This promo, along with Owens adopting the Stunner as his new finisher are both reportedly part of the company’s plan to turn him into a bad-ass babyface like Stone Cold Steve Austin was during the Attitude Era:

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Owens was never supposed to turn heel, and the company wanted to quickly turn him back to a babyface after his feud with Kofi Kingston so they could mould him into the next Austin:

“The heel turn was never supposed to happen and this is what was supposed to happen so we’re going back to [babyface] so they’re trying to make him into Steve Austin.”
