no idea. doc says its common among tall and thin men. i had chest pains for a while and then it felt like my chest exploded. they ended up putting a tube in my left lung.

it's gonna take a real long time to recover.

my chest tube leaked last night. turns out I was bleeding internally. went through surgery to reattach lung to my ribcage and to drain blood out of me.moved out of icu into semi private this afternoon

ya i know how that felt i had one and didnt even realize it was walking around almost a week like that till i went too er cuz chest was hurting me really bad and said lung collapsed
i got it from elbow too chest playing b ball

i tell u what that chest tube shyt hurt like a bytch when they make that incision and then shove that tube into ur lung u feel that and hear that pop sound in the process

told me it be 50% chance it will happen again and i can say its been bout 8 yrs since this happen and not lung collapse has happened again

you had sleep apnea too right twan? I had a small collapse again yesterday after I went out to eat with some friends but doctors said it was too small for a tube to be inserted or for me to have surgery....there's gotta be some connection between our sleep apnea and getting a collapsed lung.
