William Regal wrestled with a broken neck for nearly 30 years and should have been paralyzed.

While executing a German suplex against Ricky Steamboat at Fall Brawl 1993, Regal bridged with his neck and heard a booming crack that caused his arms to go numb. Despite this, Regal would still claim the World TV Title.

Decades later, William Regal's legs gave out under him on two occasions within the course of two weeks, so he knew something was wrong.

After consulting with a doctor before doing commentary for NXT, it was apparent that his neck was a wreck and needed to be treated immediately.

After being sent to Dr. Joseph Maroon, he told William Regal that he only saw a neck in that poor condition from someone already in a wheelchair. It was a miracle Regal was even walking.

Regal had a baseball-sized ball of a calcified deposit that held his neck together.

Following his initial surgery, Regal was sent to a New York specialist for his second surgery, where four discs were fused.

I had no idea about this:picard:

My father killed himself today. Not sure why I’m telling a bunch of strangers this but in some ways it’s easier than telling your friends and family and everyone coming out with the same (genuine and heartfelt) “if you need to talk I’m here for you”. I have an amazing support system and my wife has been an absolute rock but he was one of my best friends and I had no idea anything was wrong until I got the call from the police telling me what had happened.

If your dad, mum, significant other, whoever is in your life then call them and tell them you love them, because you never know what dice roll the game called life has in store for you

My condolences man... I'm happy you have a great support system. Don't be afraid to take as much time as you need from work or whatever, just focus on you and your family. God bless.
