Lately, there has been a trend of negativity towards Omega and criticism on him as a wrestler. When did this occur and what happen for this to happen? Hell, even I'm guilty of shytting on dude, however he's probably one of the best wrestlers out this generation. It's just that Omega can be wild corny with his antics compared to his earlier cleaner days. Like dude is losing that spark that made me enjoyed his overall gimmick (my opinion on the subject). Now that Omega fitting to come through like Jordan wearing the 45 with that 7 star match with Jericho, what's good with the thoughts on Kenny?
It's natural backlash for a dude that in the span of 16 months went from the perception of "the comedy/weird indy guy" to "one of the best in decades and part of the best matches in history"
As always, the truth is somewhere in the middle.
Kenny is a solid #2 ranked wrestler that can go toe to toe with ANY #1 ranked wrestler... and that's what honestly is really missing from mainstream wrestling. You need highly skilled upper midcard/lower main eventer caliber wrestlers to be constant threats to the #1 Ranked wrestlers and Kenny does that tremendously well.
Add the fact that he has a well known crew and a heavy presence on youtube and in the fighting game community that up his image to larger than life status at times.
