When I first saw this show, I couldn’t believe how bad it was. An nWo PPV bombing at the group’s peak is an impressive feat

It was a bad idea really. I haven’t seen it since 97 tho so I can’t comment but just thinking about the premise, it doesn’t make any sense

Yeah they were going for that “raw” feel and it just ended up being sloppy in retrospect

I don’t think it’s a cool idea if we’re talking about good guys bad guys storytelling wrestling lol. NWO gets their own ppv so in reality anyone in the crew is going over so all the matches are forgone conclusions. Unless I’m remembering it wrong and some wcw cats got a few Ws

I think it could’ve worked if maybe it was done differently. More like one of the modern RAW vs Smackdown PPVs with representation on both sides, maybe hold an nWo show with an unwilling WCW roster that ends in a big brawl How can a heel booked show work, theoretically they’d just stack the deck in their favor and rig it all
