this really was a dream card, I mean look at the singles matches on paper

its insane how much talent they had in the company at the time.

In ring it was some of the best work ever put forth by this company, weird how this was around the time ratings started to take a dip.

stars bring in ratings, not ring work. Rock was in and out doing movies, Austin went home for most of 2002. HHH and HBK weren't gonna hold casual fans, and neither was Brock, Benoit, Eddie, etc

I dont think Rock and Austin leaving was the only thing that made ratings drop

I think it also had to do with the fact that the style of programming of pushing the envelope was played out

that mid to late 90s tv that made Springer famous was not in style anymore. They were still trying to be edgy during this time (katie vick, HLA, and so on) and came off looking really trashy.
