A GOAT big man that has done everything he could possibly do. I want to give him higher than an 8, but I'm gonna stick with that cause he's had big chunks of his career where he was doing nothing, but I still kinda cut him some slack cause with longevity naturally comes stale periods, especially in the latter portion of his career. One thing I've always liked about Big Show was the variety he brought. Every big man at one point (except Taker for some reason) has been called on to do comedy, and Big Show was pretty funny at that. His comedy phase during a portion of 2000 was hilarious. And when you needed at the flip of a switch, he could easily be pushed as a monster. He brought the fukkery with NWO, Bossman, looked legit in the Unholy Alliance and vs Brock various times, made Daniel Bryan look like a million bucks, and put over Mark Henry and Braun in some surprisingly good big man matches. I totally loathed Big Show during certain chunks of time between 2011-2015, but I'm glad he was able to stick around for Braun.

Big show is truly an all time great. He has just under chris jericho levels of versitility, and his final act has been great...glad he got in shape and he truly cares about his craft again. He made braun strowman...straight up.

And this

Was wrestling greatness.

I'm giving him a NINE

He gets 10 just for his match with Floyd, which was a lot better than it should of been.

Really an 8

Should of had a greater career than he has done, considering the type of athlete he was but becoming lazy, unmotivated and changing from face and heel far too often, didn't help either. Also a guy his size should of never been the butt of so many jokes and silliness in angles etc.

my overall opinion of big show is i really think he should have been more than he was ring wise..unlike most big men big show was athletic as fukk and in shape when he came out...the problem with that was it didnt last long in his prime

he had significant stretches of his career where he was fat and then fat and lazy..he was hilarious and could talk..he had decent matches with the occasional great match with random cats..id give him a solid 7

5 for me.

I'm sorry, but Big Show can work but holy shyt he can be a lazy loaf at times. The Giant days, he was what he was but at least he tried his hardest to stand out from the rest. Once he came to WWE, it was hit and miss. One thing I can say about dude is that he knows his place in the business:yeshrug:

Mic work/promos: 8
A great mic worker but he doesn't really have a lot of standout promos. He does a pretty good job of showing emotion but over recent years he's had too many whiny promos.

Personality/gimmicks: 6
You would think that it would be easy to book an interesting character for a 7 foot giant. However, WWE has given Big Show some embarrassing storylines and gimmicks including the cliched imitation gimmick and the "goofy" giant character.

Another complaint is the constant flip flopping between face and heel roles that almost has become a running joke. Despite all of the different characters that he's been given, he always has stayed over which is commendable.

Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds): 7
Feuds: vs Big Boss Man, vs Braun Strowman, vs Ric Flair, vs Mark Henry, vs Roman Reigns, vs Mankind, vs Floyd Mayweather Jr., vs Undertaker, vs Sheamus
Like others have said, he's one of those guys who has fluctuating motivation and had a period when he was :flabbynsick:. However when he's in shape and focused, he can be a great big man worker.

Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores): 7

One of the top big men of this generation who had a long career and a solid resume. I feel that his career could have turned out slightly better but he still did OK. :ehh:

I put him in the same tier as Kane, especially with how intertwined their careers became where whenever either guy had nothing to do, they feuded or teamed up. So if I have Kane at 7, Big Show’s gotta be around the same status or higher.

With Show, I was a big fan of his in WCW, atleast initially. I’m not one of those dudes who’ll talk about “the look” as a wrestling fan, but WCW Giant was cool almost entirely based off his look. A younger, leaner version of Andre? Dude was intimidating:

But besides some fukkery involving the Dungeon of Doom, his constant either feuding with or being apart of the nWo, and like that one time Goldberg Jackhammered him, there’s not much I can remember off hand about his time there.

His WWF/E had initial promise and it was fun to see him jump ship and be involved with or against guys like Austin, Rock, and Mankind. His WWF title run was pretty disastrous all things considered and was really only entertaining due to GOAT level Big Bossman scumbaggery. Big chunks of his career he owes some credit to Paul Heyman for, as Heyman helped revitalize and rejuvenate him as the monster he should be, both during the Smackdown Six era and the early days of WWECW. The latter of which I credit Show a lot for, as he carried the show. His Mayweather feud after his return was really fun and is probably the best celebrity match in WWE history. I was a big JeriShow fan during their run. He’s produced some good matches and storylines since, with Reigns, Bryan, Sheamus, and Braun to name a few.

I can’t remember any promos off hand of his but I don’t remember any being downright bad or him being unable to talk.

Favorite matches would include Souled Out 98 with Nash (with the botched Jacknife), Vengeance 2003 with Brock and Kurt, Wrestlemania XX with Cena, Wrestlemania 24 with Mayweather, and his recent battles with Braun.

All in all I’ve never really been a big fan of his tbh but he deserves a lot of credit for his versatility and his willingness to put people over. The guy had a hand in helping quite a few names either legitimize themselves or make their names off of feuding with and beating him, like Brock Lesnar (who’s feats of strength against Show always looked AMAZING), John Cena, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Braun Strowman.

I’d go with an 8. Much like Cena, if he had stronger periods of consistency he’d be an easy 10.

That Brock match exposed Braun but stay in your feels because you don't wanna admit Braun isn't that good :umad:
I'm not saying Braun is a great wrestler but brock hasn't had a good match in years. :mjlol:

He had good matches with pretty much everyone before that.
