I love the Steiners as a team and Scott individually, but I've never liked Rick. He always came off as cheesy and hokey. I give him a 6 based solely off his Tag work with Scott.

Light 6 from over here.

Sighs...Rick Steiner is the epitome of a supporting tag team partner. His solo run was trash beyond belief, his promos were kinda bland compared to Scott Steiner, and his ring work is average as hell. Dude was like the power to Scott Steiner's agility, yet both of chemistry is top notch:banderas:. Bottom line.....:ld:

William fukking Regal is above Raven, Batista, Goldberg, Arn Anderson? The guy with the fake shoot gimmick, that never had a match anyone looked forward to, who was only good at being mildly amusing by acting goofy?

TSCs judgment is not to be trusted.

Overall- 8. He's hard to rate with a very short singles run. How do you rate Hawk and Animal? But the Road Wartiors as a team are a 9 or 10? Its hard. But he was over, convincing, a good worker, and an average talker, so ill say 8.

Star power/charisma- 8. Bro, the fans reacted to him and he looked legit, had the legit background, and the offense. He felt like some kind of a star, maybe a lesser one, but moreso than a Val Venis or D'Lo. Look at how the crowd reacts at Halloween Havoc 98.

Ring- 8. Hard to judge with such a short singles run, but as a tag wrestler he had a bunch of classics and played his role well.

Mic- 4. Not terrible, but limited.

Rick was good in the ring for only a few short years. By the mid-90s, he was toast and he devolved into one of the worst wrestlers in the world in 98-00.

Rick had had weird charisma. He was decently over, but it worked against the team. All that whoo-whoo-bark-bark, act like a dog shyt turned them into a lightweight comedy act when they needed to be deadly serious.

Hall and Nash in particular made rick look dumb as hell in their program in '97. The team was a wrap after that.

Rick ruined Scott's prime. Scott refused to break up the team even tho Vince wanted to turn him into a single's star, because he knew if rick was left on his own he'd be a jobber in less than 6 months.

His "don't like me bite me" tag line was cringeworthy. He was a complete channel changer in those days.

I would have given him a 3, but I gave him an extra point for challenging a fake doll to come fight him on live tv:

Giving him the most unenthusiastic 6 I could possibly give anyone. So unenthusiastic that I totally looked over this evaluation until I saw the Nash one. I loved the Steiner Bros, but I never ever thought much of Rick. He was a complete charisma black hole outside of barking. Dog Faced Gremlin is a goat nickname, but that's where it stops. Them splitting up showed how nice Scott was (who I gave a high 8 and have always been favorable to) and how mundane Rick was. His solo run was very forgettable. I can't tell you any feud he even had. He had nice ring attire and was a decent powerhouse wrestler, but every good quality about him was enhanced solely cause of Scott. He may be one of the most Jannetty wrestlers ever. Pretty sure I rated Val Venis, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, D'Lo, and several other people higher than him. I liked him more than Tommy Dreamer and Jack Victory.
