Another Gold Medal
I've always thought Austin was overrated, but even with that said have to give him a 10. I was a huge fan of Stunning Steve Austin. Loved heel Stone Cold. But once he became a face I thought his promos became somewhat repetitive. Loved his heel turn just for the way he switched things up and was legit hilarious. In ring wise I could do without his brawling style after the neck injury but it's impossible to deny he still was able to pull out some great matches.

the fact that he was able to have classics after a career ending injury like that only adds to his greatness. :hubie:

-Mic work/promos - He became a 10 in this category
He wasnt a good promo in WCW to me until he started tagging with Pillman and improved
He didn't shine on the promo until his brief stop in ECW in 1995. Then it was off the races. 1995-1997 he was damn near unfukkwittable on the mic. Austin 3:16 might arguably the best promo of all time. Cause Stone Cold Said So is the prolly the best wrestling video of all time

-Personality/gimmicks
He had Stunning Steve Austin and Stone Cold Steve Austin...got over with both
the ring master was bullshyt and more on the WWE creative than steve
10 easy..possibly the greatest tweener of all time

-Ring work (along with some of your favorite matches/feuds)
Before the neck injury Steve was a hell of a wrestler. In WCW and in the early years of his WWE career. War Games and the SS'96 and WM 13 matches with Bret Hart are by far the best matches he's been involved. Stone cold Stunner is a legenday finisher but his finishers as Stunning Steve were pretty good too: Hollywood & Wine and "Thats a Wrap"..didnt really like the Stun gun though. His Feud with Vince McMahon and Rock changed the wrestling landscape forever. There is too much to go into with him. He easily gets a 10

-Overall rating (which doesn't have to be an average of the above scores)
If you would have told me that Stunning Steve that used to fly off the top rope in rock n roll express tights would go down as one of the all time greats and be the face of professional wrestling, I would have told you to get the fukk outta here lol. Steve put in that work especially after the broken neck almost ended his career and eventually shortened his career. It's a shame though we never got Steve Austin vs Goldberg or Hulk Hogan as feuds due to varying reasons. He is though an easy 10. No question asked.

Another easy 10 for me, one of the few wrestlers I was able to appreciate from the start and not just in the latter years. Even when he went from techincal wrestling in the early part of his career to a brawler in his latter years after injuries, he was still great. Another era defining wrestler. GOAT theme (and multiple nice variations of it). His 97-98 run may have been one of the greatest ever, and his evolution from christening himself with the "Stone Cold" name in 96 to 98 was also great. Austin vs Bret at WM 97 is a top 5 Austin match for me. A fantastic double turn right there. Despite the fact that it never should have happened, his heel turn in 2001 was great as well, and provided his character with a streak of viciousness that he didn't have as a face beforehand. His understated comedy around that time was :mjlol: as well. He even went out like a G vs that Rock at WM 19. That was my favorite match out of all his vs The Rock because of the build of it. A fantastic close to a great long standing feud and career wrap-up. Austin also didn't overstay his welcome like other legends, though had he not had all those injuries, who knows how he would have fared with the changing of the times. There will never be another Austin no matter how hard they try to peg people as "the next Stone Cold".

I gave him a 9. Promos are A plus , he is a legend no doubt. Influence and is felt today and he transcends the sport. The man saved the company with the Rock.
His brawl style is unmatched but limited so I gave him the 9. He is in my top 5 of all time with.
