Who would of thought that 2 cultural icons, 1 from the 70s and 1 90s would have the same character name, and ending up being coined with the same bionic nickname as their bodies were literally broken down.

My breh @patscorpio summed it all up for me. :salute:

He even got Austin's first tape plug in as well :wow:

Just to add on to the evolution of Austin's style and 3 of his famous matches over the course of his career from start middle and end.

War Games Austin, people forget he use to bump the phuck around the ring.
SSeries 96 Austin showed his technical prowess.
WM17 Austin showed his brawling style that his career evolved into due to the toll of the injuries, to his neck and knees.

@mrken12 - You getting ready to cut that retirement promo??? The last couple of weeks have all been straight bangers! Macho, Flair, Austin even Kong, Jericho have all been recent.

Nonetheless, Austin is a 10.

The evolution from Hollywood Blonde Austin to Stone Cold happened so organically and masterfully. His ring work began to wane as injuries and years piled on and he simultaneously became one of the handful of guys that truly define mainstream wrestling.

Ring Work - 8 He always made matches feel important and made sure the story supported the work.

easiest 10 given since Macho Man

you remove Austin from the picture and the world of wrestling is completely different, dude was undeniably a game changer

appreciation threads get made about random shyt he did all the time, shyt i even made one a few months ago about his Smackdown matches

he has a catalog of great matches, excellent promo (people STILL say "What?"), great character as heel or face, legendary feuds, left the game at a good time and even has a above average podcast

definitely a 10 and a legit argument for GOAT can be made

10. Don’t think he was a 10 in the ring, even as Stunning Steve, but his charisma, star power, mic skills, and classic moments make him an easy 10.

10. He was a much better technical wrestler before the neck injury, but the reinvention actually made him a legend. His ring psychology combined with his aggressive style made his matches great. His promos relied a little too much on cursing, but he was still an entertaining talker.

I've always thought Austin was overrated, but even with that said have to give him a 10. I was a huge fan of Stunning Steve Austin. Loved heel Stone Cold. But once he became a face I thought his promos became somewhat repetitive. Loved his heel turn just for the way he switched things up and was legit hilarious. In ring wise I could do without his brawling style after the neck injury but it's impossible to deny he still was able to pull out some great matches.
