I love Ric Flair. Great wrestler. Could go 60 minutes or put on an entertaining 20 minute match. promos, catch phrases. he drew a crowd. My only gripes with Flair are that he only worked as a heel. He was a horrible good guy and this part is my opinion only. He only worked well with scientific wrestlers(Steamboat, Windham, Savage, etc). I didn't like his matches against bigger powerful wrestlers. Hogan, Vader.I liked the Luger matches even though people said Lex was hard to work with. Bunk it, He gets a 10 cause he's Ric Flair

10 no question about it.

I don't think people realize the amount of good shyt Flair put out there for 15 years (that we have footage of) in terms of quality of matches, character work and dope ass promos. The "same match every time" thing is an overblown narrative that for some reason stuck as a negative for Naitch.

From the mid 90's onwards his work suffered but as stro said, he still found ways of being entertaining and standing out. Even in WWE during his "hardcore Flair" phase he was still one of the standouts when given the chance.

He's not perfect by any means, but the greatness outweighs any negative by a large margin.

If guys like Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels aren’t 9.5-10, doesn’t it start to invalidate all of this?

I hate Hulkkk Hogan. But that’s like me rating him a 1 for charisma.

Flair is a 10 in every category. Sure his matches could get redundant, but how could they not over 40 years?? We expect him to start pulling off frog splashes all of a sudden in 1993?

Promo: 10. He's almost underrated here, if you look at his old stuff. Even guys like Stone Cold and The Rock were never as consistently on, promo wise, as Ric was.
Character: 10 . Lived it and it was believable.
Wrestling: Eh.... this is where I'm kinda with Bret. I never really got it. Maybe a 7 or 8? Not the 10 everyone claims. Offense was silly at times. Repetitive to the point of unrealistic. He was a workhorse who could wrestle anyone for an hour and make em' look good, so that counts for a lot. But I can't put him in that HBK/Bret category.

9 Overall.

Unlike Flair and Savage, every legend is not undeniably elite (10) in every category. :manny: Aside from the trolling and spiteful ratings, it's actually cool to see people justify their different thoughts

First the op made the HBK evaluation biased. He should be at the minimum 9.8. AS for Ric. He is a 9.00 his legacy is cemented by HBK giving him the ultimate send off.
That thread wasn't biased. You're just mad because people don't have a man crush on Hickenbottom like you do. :umad: You were even requesting for low votes to be removed. :mjlol:
