Wasn't at peak popularity but getting cheered over Punk at Over The Limit 2012? Lol. Pretty much wraps this up. Punk revealed on the podcast that Bryan was gonna win the title and face Rock..if Punk didn' do the heel turn and wanted to keep his merchandise t shirt money set up as the face that kept winning all the time. He didnt want Bryan to get that spot. So he turned heel at Raw 1000. This has been explained a million times by now. The only reason his title run didnt end in July 2012 is because the Rock needed a heel to beat at Rumble 2013. That's it. Second half of his reign is a complete farce. A sham. A joke. A gimmick.

Then fans realized after Team No that Bryan was the REAL Best in the World and cheered him like a god during the MITB 2013 match...
