End this silly beef, both Goku and Vegeta won. Ain't no shame in Vegeta being Wade to Goku's Lebron. If anyone lost, it's that bum nikka yumcha.

I see a lot of ppl turning this into a "let's shyt on vegeta" thread but honestly that wasn't my intention. this was just an unbiased interpretation and I think a fascinating way to look at the dynamic between vegeta and trunks.

vegeta needed to learn what it felt like to be compassionate, to be selfless. and so god granted him - in the form of trunks - a horrifying look into his own future. one where he STILL isn't the strongest fighter in the universe... (and the grim repurcussions that arrive from that)

throughout the entire android/cell saga, vegeta is constantly trying to prove he's strong enough, constantly trying to prove fate wrong. remember how glorious it was for him when he killed android 19? He was on top of the world there. not only did he beat the androids, but he proved the kid wrong. in fact the androids weren't even a challenge to him. vegeta looked fate dead in the eyes and he LAUGHED.

And then the ultimate lesson in humility, he gets beat by a GIRL. once again vegeta must burn in hell for his sins.

you wanna know what's sick? in an ironic twist of fate he actually had the chance to prove fate wrong. when he fought imperfect cell he a WAS the strongest dude in the universe. he COULD have prevented the future from happening. but what does he do? he tempts fate yet again, he allows cell to become perfect. and of course now everyone must pay for it.

only in the end, after seeing trunks die, after seeing even gohan fail in his battle against cell, does he realize the error in his ways. finally in a selfless act vegeta lands a blow to cell and it is enough to distract him. imagine that, thoughtless and selfish vegeta couldn't do jack shyt to cell... but caring and selfless vegeta could land a devestating blow.

Vegeta needed to learn that the key to true strength is compassion and the giving of oneself. And thankfully, he learns that lesson.

Unfortunately as we enter the buu saga, we learn that the desire to be the best still runs pretty deep. and that he and kakarot still have some unfinished business. :demonic:

fukk what yall talking about. Vegeta on Namek was some of the most underrated power moves strategically in the entire series. He was playing chess and nikkas was playing checkers. Almost mated Frieza with just a knight and a pawn and Frieza still had a queen on the board...
