look, i'm rooting for the dems to make a comeback.... lord knows hillary and kamala would have both been infinitely better than the clown we have in office now... but being realistic, where has that "two heart failures" gotten us....?. a second term of trump... he has the best health care in the world... jimmy carter doesn't make it into his 90s if he wasn't president... he made it to 100.... look at the condition he was in, but he was alive...

as for the midterms, dems have done very well in the midterms in the trump era, so that bodes well for them... also, although trump is an extremely gifted campaigner (which he still does not get his props for), he does not have coattails... dems should do well in '26...

however, i'm not sold on dems getting the presidency back in '28... let's remember dems are polling the lowest they ever have... the best thing the dems have going for them in '28 is that a lot of people came out to vote for trump and no one else... those people likely stay home in '28 if trump isn't on the ballot... if dems play their cards right, they can take advantage of that...

until then we're stuck with 4 years of trump....
