People sat on here and elsewhere pretending to care about environmental justice, hyping up frauds like Jill Stein because she had a dedicated page on her site, but for some reason, they completely ignored what the last administration was *already* doing to tackle the problem.

They ignored the Justice40 Initiative. They ignored that there was real work being done in Cancer Alley. The ignored the Cancer Moonshot initiative that was actually addressing racial and environmental disparities in cancer outcomes. The previous administration was actually putting serious resources into fixing things that had been ignored for generations.

But too many people dismissed all of that or acted like it didn't count. Instead, they boosted candidates with no path to power just because their platforms sounded more progressive on paper, and they could exploit that to cover up their real intentions. And now that Trump is gutting all of it by canceling investigations, ending enforcement, terminating settlements, and calling environmental justice protections "illegal," those same people are either silent or pretending this is business as usual.

It's fukking infuriating. Poor Black communities are once again being pushed to the back of the line, and the people who claimed to care most are nowhere to be found. Or worse, claiming this is fearmongering and propaganda.

The last admin half stepped and did not do enough on all Black issues. Trump is showing that the president can get shyt done if he really wants to. Having said that Kamala would have been better for Black folks than Trump.

trump is showing us that it's real easy to take stuff away, so i don't see how he's showing us that a president can get shyt done if he really wants to. you ever heard the saying "it's much easier to destroy than to build"?

Ya'll keep asking about the bothsiders but ya'll have to realize something, them nikkas don't give a fukk about nothing that doesn't personally effect them. They are not for the black community as a whole.

meanwhile they'll drop the draws for the white man before they even get to the door

It's the black version of "Make America Great Again." This weird reminiscence of a glorious pre-civil rights past of black America. Back when we "got by" holding doors, shining shoes, mopping floors, sharecropping, and folding towels with little or no civil rights protections because it made us "strong" and forced us to get married.

They want black people to leave diverse Metropolitan cities where we have some level of political power and freedom over pur condition, and move to bumblefukk rural southern states where we can "rely on each other" as we get economically, legally, and enviornmentally stomped on by some hick anti-DEI Republican governor who will see to it that black communities in his state dont even have clean water let alone any significant economic prosperity. Because "wE bEeN tHrOuGh tHiS bEfOrE! #wEeAllWeeGoT

The odd trust some black people have for yee haw anti-civil rights conservative white supremacists makes no sense. Especially when they have so much shyt to say about "white liberals." Cowards.

Ehh...Black people down South are not just some poor mass getting shyt on everywhere. The bulk of Black educated folks are moving South for opportunity--and we do often have political power in the cities. These horror stories are not the totality of the Black South.

These 'diverse' metros in liberal states often have been more zealous about gentrifying Black folks and limiting our political power as the South. Ask Black folks in Oakland and LA if everything is a cake walk. How has the NYC or most rust belt cities been looking out for Black folk?

It was sewage in Alabama but don't forget lead in Flint and Milwaukee. As Malcom X said, the South starts at the Canadian border fam.
