What are you talking about? Leaking is easy and leakers almost NEVER get caught. It is not in fact "easy" to track down a leaker. Do you realize how many people are briefed/read in to a policy decision - no matter how sensitive. You have the President, his inner staff (Chief of Staff, Closest advisor, White House Counsel, Communications (ideally), you have various members of his cabinet including the secretary responsible for that particular policy. You have his/her staff, you have the professional bureaucracy within the specific department; congressmen/senators in relevant committees and their staff. Unless all of these people are under constant surveillance, it's almost impossible to determine to whom they may have spoken.

"... Called for the problematic portion of Trumps discussion to be stricken from internal memos and for the full transcript to be limited to a small circle of recipients..."

It wouldn't be hard like I said.

On Capitol Hill, House Speaker Paul Ryan called the meeting of the three Russian spies at the White House “a tempest in a teapot” and “much ado about nothing,” before adding, off-microphone, “I am screwed. I am so screwed.”

I can tell you've never held a position where you were required most likely by law to be compliant with security guidelines. Like I said, leaking shyt out of spite is unheard of especially when it is very easy to track down who did the leaking. I just want to know the facts. How do people know what was discussed? Who are these sources? Can they be trusted? Plenty of unanswered questions.

Think about it long and hard.

Donald Trump spills the beans

Possibilities
- info gets back to Russian intel and US spies relay info
- info gets back to Russian intel and allied spies relay info
- White House mole
- White House Digital trail

It's even easier than that Donovan.

After the meeting, Thomas Bossert, the assistant to the president for counterterrorism and homeland security, immediately called the NSA and the CIA to tell them what had happened and warn them of possible ramifications. They almost certainly requested the full transcript of the meeting so they could see exactly what was and was not shared.

So I'd think that CIA mole, NSA mole, or White House mole are the three most likely candidates. The spies wouldn't risk anything relaying such specific information like transcripts. Digital trail is a remote possibility but I really doubt our news services are rolling like that.

For those who are skeptics

Reuters
NYT

...and uh buzzfeed have independently corroborated the WaPo report. They aren't just reporting the same stuff as WaPo but using separate sources.
