I guess it comes down to whether or not I believe he'll try to fix things - and I don't. If only for the people he's stacking his cabinet with.

This is a totally fair concern imo. He's a relative unknown when it comes to politics, and a lot of his campaign is built on taking advantage of uncertainty. He's not been the most consistent person when it comes to many policy positions either. His team is my number 1 concern, because he's admittedly not a veteran of political administration, so he'll be relying on his guys to enact his vision.

I look at it like this. He DOES know the system better than most politicians and civilians because its literally his job to maximize profits for his shareholders by any and all legal means. That means its literally his job to find loopholes and exploit them. So what he's saying is partly true. He does know the system very well and I'm sure he's got ideas on how to fix it (aka close loopholes etc). The part that I'm not sold on, is if he ACTUALLY will fix it. Its really not in his interest to lower his profitability. Is he going to fukk his companies up a bit to help fix our broken system? Truthfully, I don't know. Being a narcissistic a$$hole makes it hard to believe that he will actually fix it but i do believe he at the very least knows whats needed to end the loopholes and which policies are being taken advantage of.

Do you think Trump makes it out of the crowded Republican primary and gets 2 billion dollars of free media coverage with "No TPP!" alone? The Republican base didn't even know what TPP was before Trump. The bombastic performance that carried him through the primary needed an equally coarse rallying call. It's a sad indictment on the state of American society, but gutter controversy sells, and Trump would not be here if he didn't appeal to that.

The wealthy lose out if Trump closes loopholes, gets rid of illegals, etc. That cuts directly into their margins thus they wouldn't want to "fix the system".

The Bernie bros line was just an assumption. I don't really hear about too many "economic reform guys". The only candidate that really spoke on this issue was Bernie with his attack against the 1%, corporations, TPP, etc. So I assumed thats who he was referring to. Hillary's speech the other night was a sham and theres no chance she follows through with Bernie's attack on the rich.
