I've had that argument before, because if it was based on merit we would've skipped over all types of civil rights violations and laws, this country would be so far ahead of everywhere else if institutionalized racism was destroyed, we probably wouldn't even have these tech CEOs and wealth would've been spread all across the country.This quote below is from a article on this.

When was America ever a merit based society for everyone? That is what these cacs don't understand. Mfers throwing out resumes if your name sounds Black or being passive aggressive during Interviews.

What I hope is things get dragged in court through 2026, so by then, midterms are going on, and they'll be too busy trying to maintain power or gain more congressional seats. The dems have to go hard next year to get control of Congress or at least prevent the republicans from totally controlling the federal government.

No employer is listing such newly hired workers as DEI in their employee-employer contract/signing as that would've been discrimination, so how exactly would they be able to know who's a “DEI hire” or not to implement such a law?
