"Before"

Lmao they were already extremists and Obama damn well knew this :mjlol:

fukking idiots always arm extremists under the bullshyt guise of "moderate rebels" and then act surprised that these people turn around to kill our own

Obama's foreign policy been a disaster

What evidence you have of this. Anyway, Obama/CIA involvement as far as arming and training rebels was pretty insignificant

Only thing you can criticize Obama on is not fully supporting the rebels fighters(because he probably didn't trust most of them and as we see rightfully so) But to say he's some Assad apologist is false

Obama sure supported the rebel fighters in Libya:sas1:

Hypocrisy much:sas2:

SMH @ IS being compared to a JV team......theyve accomplished more than Osama ever did..30,000 fighters and pulling 3 mill a day dislodging them wont be as easy as it sounds especially if they switch to guerrilla tactics

I'm sorry is running trucks into crowds similar to blowing up embassies or flying planes into buildings?

:comeon: in terms of territory controlled, body count ,sheer brutality and actual manpower they arent even close...there are reports that they even freaked out Osama...its reported he had written to his people to avoid IS because of their tactics
He also comes out against the barbarity of the early incarnation of ISIS, Al-Qaeda in Iraq, which attacked locals and fellow Sunni Muslims, eroding public support for the group. He told subordinates not to publish “pictures of prisoners after they were beheaded,” which has become a trademark of ISIS’s execution videos.
These letters were likely written before 2011 and Al-Qaeda in Iraq only split from the Al-Qaeda leadership to form the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in 2013, but the letters reveal the earlier ideological divide between the separate factions of this extremist group. Bin Laden tells his followers to remember their “morals” and not attack Muslims, particularly at mosques and other crowded locations, as they will then resist following the strict religious rule that the group wanted to implement.
Osama Bin Laden was against ISIS before it even existed

This is all bullshyt. ISIS honoring Obama? Trump is desperate now. He's just throwing anything out there hoping it sticks and the only people eating this up are his stupid base. If he said something like responsible in part for the *rise* of ISIS he would have something resembling a point (but that's only if you believe we should have taken out Assad creating an even bigger power vacuum - you can't complain about Libya and Iraq then be in favor of that). But founded? I didn't know Obama was secretly Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

I would argue pulling the US into two disastrous and costly wars with one single monumental attack was a much bigger accomplishment than anything ISIS has managed to do.

however the IS boys are still emptying the cashbox...we wont know what their tab will be yet...its $11 million a day right now

The Deep State

Donald Trump said Wednesday that President Obama "founded" the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

“ISIS is honoring President Obama,” he said during a rally in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. “He’s the founder of ISIS. He founded ISIS."

“I would say the co-founder would be ‘Crooked’ Hillary Clinton,” Trump added of Obama’s former secretary of State and his Democratic rival.

Trump criticized Obama’s decision to withdraw U.S. military forces from the Middle East and leaving behind a void ISIS could fill.

“We should never have gotten out the way we got out,” he said. “We unleashed terrible fury all over the Middle East."

“Instead of allowing some small forces behind to maybe, just maybe, keep it under control, we pulled it out,” the GOP’s presidential nominee added.

“Then Obama came in, and normally you want to clean up and he made a bigger mess. We’re not respected. We’re laughed at all over the world.”

Trump made similar comments last week, when he called Clinton the "founder of ISIS" and said "she should get an award from them."

Trump: Obama 'founded ISIS'

I thought Trump was an isolationist. Doesn't he complain daily of other nations taking advantage of our military?

@King Kreole

Can you spin this or nah?

says the guy endorsed by numerous white supremacist groups

Does this guy knows that ISIS is a rag tag off shoot of al queda or not?

:Lyesss:Prove that ALL of them are

Obama founded ISIS? What will it be tomorrow he was behind 9/11 too?

I believe I can.

Nothing Trump said here is anti-isolationist. He's talking about post hoc policy. The United States had already invaded Iraq, there were better ways to extract from an already fukked up situation than the way the withdrawal was handled. Critiquing the shytty withdrawal is absolutely not an endorsement of the decision to go in in the first place. And it definitely doesn't portend future interventions. The "Obama founded ISIS" rhetoric is skirting a line, but an argument could be made that his foreign policy decisions allowed the group to fester and grow. His infamous "ISIS is a JV squad" comment comes to mind, as it betrayed a critical misapprehension of the situation on the ground. Obama was handed a fukked up situation, but he didn't really make it better. Don't trust me on this issue, watch the Richard Holbrooke documentary The Diplomat to see the utter dysfunction of the Obama administration in this area. I have no problem giving Trump leeway on this issue because he's on the right side of the fence here. Obama's foreign policy has really been disastrous and I'll be damned if I carry water for it.

Damn you are sad

The problem with ISIS is that they can't really be defeated. We can take them out with ease but those terror attacks that span the globe on a weekly basis is their real threat imo and that's just not gonna be stopped by military strength. Neither side really has a good address for this either.

:francis: Involuntary admittance to the psych ward anyone?

attacks like this is trump's sweet spot. he leaves out a tremendous amount of background on the rise of isis, but it's easy for his low iq low info supporters to latch on to. he already has them thinking "something is going on" and obama is a muslim.

in the debates hillary would bash his head in with facts, history lessons, and a far better grasp of foreign affairs. but if trump can speak in generalities and not get pulled into specifics he might struggle through.

he's going to have to meet with some foreign leaders at some point before the election to gain some credibility with swing voters, but which world leader could actually stomach being in the same room as this guy?

$11mn a day is peanuts in comparison and the effects ultimately exceeding even Osama's vision for the aftermath don't really support your argument either:manny:

Except isis is a mix of Baathists and Al-Q. Not to mention Bush propping up a puppet leader that was incompetent and divisive. IS wouldnt be what it is without the Baathist party. Members of that party were left with no possibilities of govt work or jobs. Same with the Iraqi army.
