Brown risked discussing race​

Brown’s future was called into question during the confirmation hearing for Hegseth last month. Asked if he would fire Brown, Hegseth responded, “Every single senior officer will be reviewed based on meritocracy, standards, lethality and commitment to lawful orders they will be given.”

Hegseth had previously taken aim at Brown. “First of all, you gotta fire, you know, you gotta fire the chairman of Joint Chiefs,” he said flatly in a podcast in November. And in one of his books, he questioned whether Brown got the job because he was Black.

“Was it because of his skin color? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt — which on its face seems unfair to CQ. But since he has made the race card one of his biggest calling cards, it doesn’t really much matter,” Hegseth wrote.

Couching it in a manner of like questioning his choices, but not outright stating he did it because the General is Black. There is an attempt to reign in his power to use the military domestically through the Insurrection Act, a combination of laws dating back to the 1790s that provide overly broad power to a president to use the military as domestic law enforcement in emergencies.

I am uncertain that it will pass with the way the House and Senate are at the moment. That is why the midterms will be very important this coming 2026. Campaigns should be ramping up soon, and so using this information about the Insurrection Act problem and making sure people understand what it means and what it can lead to, should be near the top of the list of issues put forward to encourage people to vote.

I personally think the media is too quite about the problem. So it will be up to the campaign centers to get this info out to the populations they wish to serve.

You know what trip me out about some of you guys. So many of you are so focused on getting hits on other Black people, I rarely have ever seen any of you actually talking about solutions to the actual problems. It is almost like you think inaction, outside of insults, is all you need to do. There is no talk about how to deal with what you state you fear is happening, but there is a lot of energy on throwing digs that accomplish nothing.

I will give you some examples of what you can be doing.

3. Getting a projectile weapon or two to protect yourself and your family.
4. If you have the funds, setting up an emergency system to get them out of the country.

There is more that can be done. One thing that will not help, besides giving some a cathartic feeling of relief, is your incessant need to turn and attack other Black people whenever Trump does something. That will not help resolve anything in the short or long term. It is just pure emotionalism on display, in a time when cool heads and strategic planning needs to be the focus.
