A major provision of the 14th Amendment was to grant citizenship to “All persons born or naturalized in the United States,” thereby granting citizenship to formerly enslaved people.

The 14th amendment also officially recognizes black Americans born into slavery as citizens. So if they can amend the constitution to get rid of the tethers and Latinos. Then what’s stopping them from fukking with YOU?

A lot of what we consider civil rights are due to the 14th amendment due process clause and incorporation (and reverse incorporation for DC) along with unenumerated rights that was shared to everyone based on the concepts of the 14th amendment. America has no conception of equality until that amendment was made and I could see republicans going at both incorporation and inenumerated rights while they have a chance. They’ve been that radicalized and they clearly have forgottten the lessons of the past.

These immigration laws seem to be targeting Indian (or South Asian-Americans) more than Latinos. Bannon is on record saying there's too many Indian CEOs in Silicon Valley and something needs to be done about it. They're trying to make sure that South Asians (not East Asians) do not become like the Jewish community in this country because they're definitely the closest and most capable ones of having that type of grip on the US. The coli is so out of touch, I work with a lot of hispanics/Latinos and they are overwhelmingly HAPPY this is happening. Y'all act like this isn't EXACTLY what they wanted.
