It doesn’t appear that people will be grandfathered in. I think this is retroactive. So, people who been here for a while and just never got their citizenship will be screwed. When I was in insurance, I worked with a lady who husband had a very hard time getting it. She said parking tickets hurt his chances several times too and he hadn’t received his citizenship at that time.
