Independents will be watching the hearings. So concern trolls can take a hike giving lip service to trump's base. Of course with a polarized voting base the democrats are behind the House and republicans the Senate. But that still leaves independents and they aren't rocking with trump. At. All. They think he's behaving above the law.
People love talking about the echo chambers. Democrats have their minds made up. Republicans have their minds made up. Republicans catered to the right wing echo chamber today and so they fail. People would respect them more if they actually defended trump's behavior. But to do that is to admit he is fukking up so that won't happen. Democrats fighting against this and coming with facts looked great to independents today. Independents will decide the election in 2020.
A lot of confused folks in regards to this. "Oh well it won't change his base. Ya'll underestimate trump's base." We don't underestimate them we just don't sit around thinking about them night and day. They will be there regardless. Understand? But if you have votes for Democrats coming from Democrats and Independents it's a wrap. Let them keep going on and on about Obama and Hillary and Biden at these hearings. Democrats are gonna come out smelling like roses. At election time. Not when it's time to vote for impeachment...we know the Senate will back trump. You can tell by how they're acting with these hearings.
